I went twice and both times they tried for an hour to get Baby to move into the right position and couldn't get him/her to budge. They finally gave up and just did the finger prick portion of the test. Supposedly it still works, but isn't as accurate.
Oh well, at least I got another glimpse at him/her!

Re: Did anyone else have an unsuccessful NT scan?
Well I think this is positive, baby A was sleeping and it took the tech over 30 minutes to wake him/her up. After she did she took quick measurements and combined with my blood work it came back not so good. a good thing for you it wasn't a rush measurement because that has me questioning things.
Also whatever your results are remember this test shows increase risk, not a diagnosis, and without the u/s measurements I would take the test with a grain of salt. Hope I'm not too much of a downer! Good luck ladies.
Yep. DH and I were at the doc's office for about two hours total, and hour for the scan. LO wanted to lay down on his/her side and look at the camera. The tech had to be quick and snap a photo before the baby would turn away or turn to the camera then almost in position, but not quite.
After snapping about 20 ultrasound photos for us, she went to check with the lab to see if the photos would work, and it looked like maybe they could. We will see.
The veins wouldn't cooperate either! I got poked in the arm 3 times and they had to do the needle wiggling deal (leaving very unsightly bruises), and all they got were tiny spurts of blood. They ended up taking it out of my hand, and I still have a blue lump the size of a golf ball.

Thanks, everyone! Makes me a feel a little better that my baby isn't the only stubborn one out there.
I know the test is only to show if the risk is high or low, so I'm trying not to stress about it too much.
