Oh no, grand jury summons

I am constantly called for jury duty - they love me. This is grand jury, which is 1 day a week for 4 months! They can't possibly expect me to do this while pregnant and bleeding/spotting, right? Do you think my doctor will give me a note to get out of it? This is honestly the last thing I need right now.

If you are on and off bed rest, I am guessing that has to qualify as a medical hardship and would get you a pass. I would call your doctor for sure. Definitely not what you need!

Ask your doctor for sure! My husband just got a notice for grand jury two weeks before our due date and here it can be every week for many months (one of his co workers was on for a whole year). He's also an attorney and grand jurys love attorneys. He's going to see if he can get out of it, but we're thinking he doesn't have much of a chance. I think you have a very good chance of not having to serve due to medical hardship! Good luck!

I was summoned and picked for grand jury duty last year. Pregnancy with a Dr note should be sufficient. We only had 5 set specific days in the 3 months and we only ended up having to go twice. Are you sure its actually 1 day a week? Either way you should be able to get off without a problem. Bring it up before they actualy pick you!
