The bjorn was given to me as a hand-me down when I had DD. I thought I loved it in the beginning. However, before she was year it got packed away because I couldn't wear it longer than 20 min. It really hurt my back, it pulled on my shoulders, and felt like DD weighed a ton.
With DS I invested in an ergo. Best decision ever. I wore DS frequently past a year and I could even put older DD in it in the back carry. My back never hurt even after a full day at Disney.
The ergo is very good BUT I recommend the Beco. It is also high quality and popular but it does forward facing as well. When the baby gets older, they will appreciate seeing more than your chest.

I have an ERGO and a snugli. Tallen is too small to put in the Ergo right now without the infant insert, and it has been/is too hot to put him in the infant insert. So I wear him in the Snugli right now, but will move him to the ergo when I can .
Re: Rec your baby carrier!
I own both the bjorn and ergo.
