Longgg Car Ride- WWYD?

in 1st Trimester

After work today I'm heading north to upstate Maine for my best friend's wedding.  It's about an 8 hour drive tonight & another 4 hours tomorrow.  Do I need to worry about stopping a lot tonight to walk around??  Or is that only for PG ladies prone to clotting??

 I'll be away & busy the next 4 days...I will miss chatting with you ladies!!  I will return a double digit weeker & a prune- can't wait :) 

Blessed to be married to my best friend & so in love with our little man!!

    I think all pregnant women are prone to clotting at any stage so stop once in awhile to walk around.

    Lurking from the 3rd Tri board!

    I did a 18 hour trip at the end of my first Tri and my Dr said to make sure to stop but it really isn't as necessary until later.  Just make sure you elevate your legs and adjust your seat a few times so you aren't in one position for to long.

    We are driving 11 hours next week. Ill be almost 16 weeks. My OB just told me to walk around when we stop to pee (which will be a lot), and to drink plenty of water regardless of needing to stop often.

    This is exactly what I was thinking.  I can't even go 45 minutes without having to go to the bathroom.  

    On a side note, hope you enjoy my beautiful state!  It has been rainy here for a few days.  Hope the weather clears up for the wedding!

    You guys are so right- I don't know how I forgot that my bladder won't let me stay in the car too long anyway!!  I LOVE MAINE :)  We had the bachelorette party on Rockland in the mid-coast area and it was absolutely beautiful.  The wedding is in the bride's hometown up in aroostock county- WAYYYYY up there!!
