Questions if you have a Keurig machine at home.

Ok I have a Starbucks addiction and I'll be the 1st to admit I can't seem to break it.  I have a Senseo machine at home but have stopped using it not sure why.  I think I just wasn't happy w/ the selection of coffees they had.  At SB I mostly get Caramel Macchiatos.

So my B-day is coming up and I was checking out the Keurig machines and wanted to see if people like them.  I'm not sure if it would be a waste of money to get one and then me not use it.  I know they have a lot of flavors of the K-cups and I'm sure they would be a lot cheaper than SB everyday.

So do you like your Keurig?  Which one do you have?  Do you have a favorite coffee you enjoy?

Thanks!

Re: Questions if you have a Keurig machine at home.

  • I like my keurig alot but I mostly drink regular coffee and iced coffees at starbucks.

I have the one at costco and I really like it. I love the barista prima coffees.

If your ever in the SR area I could totally brew you a cup and see if you like it. It's good for a quick cup of coffee but I don't know if it would cure a starbucks addiction.

  • Green Mountain (I think) is going to be selling Starbucks K-cups starting in November.

      Also, I love my Keurig.

  • If you like specialty coffees like lattes, cappuccinos, and macchiatos, I HIGHLY recommend the Tassimo. It's the only one of these new machines that makes the drinks that come with milk. Literally drop in the coffee T-disc, hit start, switch to the milk T-disc and hit start again. The machine reads a barcode on the T-discs that tells it how much water, at what temperature, and for how long. Plus, I personally love the caramel macchiatos it makes!

  • I was also getting SB 3-4x per week, but decided to try the Keurig.  I was sure it would end up being used for a couple weeks and I'd go back to my SB, but oddly enough, 4 months later I am still using it.  Now I won't lie, there are times I still want the other, because I miss the steamed milk at times, but overall LOVE it and glad we have it.  I too have the version from Costco - it is the best buy out there.
  • We have the middle of the road one (not basic, but not premium) from Macy's. Dh LOVES it! I'm not a big coffee drinker so don't use it too much, but dh uses it anytime he works from home, which is often, plus some. We get the kcups from Costco, which are a good deal. The keurig is also good for teas and hot chocolate when you want to just make one cup.
