Feedback on east Orlando daycare centers

I'm looking for good or bad reviews on the following daycare centers in East Orlando- Kids R Kids on Woodberry Rd, Growing Together on Woodberry Rd, and Ladybird Academy in Avalon Park. I'm also open to recommendations for other centers in the area. TIA.

Re: Feedback on east Orlando daycare centers

  • Slmayer, it looks like we live in the same area and our due dates are just 11 days apart! We might have to get together for a little play date in the spring! :)

I have heard good things about the Kids 'r' Kids on Woodberry, but I haven't heard anything about the others. I'm sorry I don't have anything more specific for you! Is it for your baby on the way, or an older sibling? I'll keep my ears open!

  • Thanks katyberry! And yay for play dates! Im looking for daycare for this baby. No other siblings... yet. It's been harder than I thought to find something and I never imagined it would be so expensive! Do you know what you're having or will it be a surprise?

  • I'm in East Orlando too.  I know I'm early but I've been looking at daycares as well.  Our neighbors had their son at LaPetite off of Lk Underhill and Alafaya from 3 mos to Kindergarten and loved it.  My sis had her kids at Star Child when they were young and she loved it too.  I don't have any frame of reference for myself though but man, this is tough.  I live out in Wedgefield on 520.

  • Hi, I have a 3 1/2 year old right now and am just now 7 weeks pregnanat with my second, I also live in east orlando, my daughter currently goes to The Friends Academy on Dean close to Lake Underhill and we love it--she has gone there since she was 18 months, however I have friends who's children go to Ladybird and love it, and several friends that children go to Primrose in Avalon Park, and i have heard nothing but good things about that one,-- a little on the expensive side but very good.  If I lived in Avalon or closer to it I would send my daughter there mainly for the well roundedness they recieve there, they have computer class starting at 2 years old!   Good Luck with your search!

  • I'm happy I got on and read this thread....we're in the same boat. I live in Wedgefield too, and was looking at Kids R Kids and considering Ladybird. I stopped by Kids R Kids, and go the pricing sheet, but called back last week to see what age they start taking babies, and go no answer. That kinda bothered me b/c if my child is there I want to get ahold of someone.
