Pregnant after IF

Stress landed me in L&D

Between stressing over my appt. with the c/s doc and being told I'm moving my office down 2 floors today, I was a bit stressed out yesterday. When I got to my appt, my bp was really high. They took it a few times and it stayed high. Then, during my appt, I found out that they haven't actually put my c/s that is supposed to be next week, in the scheduling books yet ! Ummm, hello ?!!? They only do 2 a day (in case of emergencies) so I started to stress over that as well. Because it wasn't in the books, the doc I met with didn't even know that she would be the one who would be doing it ( they told me over the phone she would, hence the appt with her) Well, needless to say, my bp was still high by the time I left. So, they sent me over to L&D.

The crazy thing about bp is that stress caused it to be high and then being told it was high caused me to stress. It's a total vicious cycle !!!

They have me doing a 24 hour urine collection today but since I have to be at work due to my office move, I am keeping the jug in a cooler under my desk. Thankfully, I have a purse that is big enough for me to discreatly stick it in to take to & from the ladies room.

I just feel like my body is starting to give out , now, and the added pressure/pains on my hips/pelvis from her being breech are just getting worse as she gets bigger. At least the end is near !!

  • I am sorry (((hugs))). I find I get more stressed as time goes on. Maybe because I am becoming uncomfortable.

Did you try some meditation tracks? Those help me a bit in times like that. Those and food:)

  • I'm sorry.  It really is a vicious cycle.  It's like well of course my BP is high after you just give me bad news, etc!  When they admitted me to the hospital for the weekend monitoring, my BP went really high and stayed high.  Then when they found some protein in my urine, they did b/w and a 24hr urine catch.  Hopefully it will show no signs of pre-e and your BP rise was just due to stress and will come down some now.
