Outer Banks

I mentioned it in the whine post, but it looks like my sister will be getting married next October in the Outer Banks.  Anyone been there in the fall?  I'd love to hear about the weather.  I know there's not a ton to do there, and I'm sure it's not going to be warm enough for swimming.  I just hope we survive a week with both families (looks like about 18 people) in one house!

    We used to vacation there every year at the end of september. I remember running around in my bathing suit and swimming in the ocean. But looking up average temps, it seems that outer banks average temp for early october is still in the high 70's. The water temp usually stays pretty warm (70's) until the end of october. I guess it would depend on when in the month of October she was getting married. If it's the beginning, you probably will be fine. GL with the 18 people in one house! Hopefully it's a big house with lots of bathrooms.

    Yeah I wouldn't write off the beach entirely. I hope you are comfortable in the house - we may to the outer banks next June when my cousin gets married in SC...prob with my parents. I should start looking for places now, actually!

    Is this the sister with the website stuff?? did she ever get back to you on that?? I totally forgot...

    Thanks, ladies.  You're making me feel better about it.  I hope we can enjoy the beach!

    Telyco - I finally heard from my sister yesterday (when I found out about the wedding date) and all she told me was she has several lined up and isn't looking to add any more to her list right now, but she didn't answer your specific questions.  I'm sorry.
