Low P4 success stories?

Hi ladies, congrats on your pregnancies! I hope you don't mind me hopping over here for just a minute. I'm in the 2ww with my first IVF and am pretty upset about my 2nd round of blood work yesterday. My progesterone came back at 4

. It was over 20 last time, so this was a pretty devastating drop. I was on Crinone once a day, now twice a day. I am so scared, but trying to stay hopeful. Do any of you have success stories with low progesterone levels? TIA

From everything I've been told on the boards, vaginal supps like Crinone are not picked up in your bloodwork... only injections like PIO are reflected in b/w readings. So your actual progesterone level is likely higher than 4, it just isn't showing it.

I was on Crinone 3x a day and eventually went to twice a day plus PIO. Once you get your BFP, if you are still really worried, you could always ask to take PIO shots... it's not fun, but it does give you some peace of mind. Good luck!

Exactly! I had p4 @ 13 the day I got my bfp. I was on Endometrin 3 x a day. Then beta #2, it went up.to 14... So, now I still do the Endometrin 3x a day, along with PIO shots everyday... And like Sunshine said, your p4 is likely higher than that.

My progesterone was a 4 when I got my blood work done the day after my BFP. I've been put on the vaginal suppositories twice a day and it's still been pretty low (between 12-15). But I am now 8w3d and I had a great u/s today that showed the baby is measuring right on schedule with a strong heartbeat.

My P4 at my first beta was 2.23, that was with 2x day supps. My P4 never knowingly got over 10. LO is upstairs asleep and almost 8 mths old.

It's super stressful while you're in this beta limbo he!! stage, but it can definitely workout. You have to keep reminding yourself that the supps go straight to your ute so they won't show up in your bw.

I had a P4 problem and was on crinone. Crinone does NOT show up in your blood, but instead goes directly to the source. I was on it 3x/day, then down to 2x/day, then 1x/day. Hang in there!

I would definitely ask about switching to PIO if you are concerned about your P4 levels. GL!

Thank you, everyone, so much for the responses. I've really been hoping that the Crinone just isn't showing in my bw and that all is fine. Riley, it is so wonderful to see your name - Congrats on your little boy!! I remember you from loooong ago when I joined the TTGP board
