*Cute lunch check-in*

PIP your child's cute lunch here! They're really fun, don't require that much extra effort and your kids will LOVE it! My offerings are a little weak this week - we went OOT, so I was trying to use up what was in the fridge.

Super pathetic, I know. But the library storytime theme this week was trucks and DD requested a truck lunch - this is the best I could offer! A sandwich butchered to sort of look like a truck, halved Babybel cheese for the wheels, mini grapes in the pickup bed, a cheese windshield and a little panda driving. Ugly as it is, DD loved it.

Leftovers! Spaghetti, meatballs with decorative picks, a doghouse out of bread and cheese, some extra Parmesan for sprinkling and a side of carrots. DD said she has "missed eating carrots," so I guess I'll be including those more often!

This was an extra large snack. I took a picture to show the Lunch Punch cutters again - even though this particular cutter only had two puzzle pieces in it, I could use it twice on one piece of bread with practically no waste (the less pretty cutout with a bit of crust on it is on the bottom of the sandwich). A few cheese cubes and a pluot, plus some silicone leaves to keep the sandwich dry, and it was done in barely any extra time than making a regular lunch!

This homemade sealed sandwich was extra special - I lightly buttered the inside of the bread and filled it with ... SPAGHETTI! DD loved it and I will definitely do it again soon with another filling. Dino cutout on top plus mini grapes, more leftover meatballs and some tomatoes on picks (the other side says Happy St. Pat's).

Have a good week!

I have this. It works well with softer breads, but even with the dry-ish whole grain stuff that I use, it works pretty well. We've had ours for over a year and lately I've noticed they sell similar items in grocery stores. Evidently Tastefully Simple also sells one. I've never tried anything other than what we have, so I'm sorry but I can't give you a comparison. HTH!

  • Brightning Congratulations! How are you doing? Is everyone else still around or have they moved on?

  • Thank you, I'm doing really well!

Pretty much everyone has moved on, but sometimes they'll peek in from time to time. Take care!
