TTC After a Loss
~?*??*?~Ladies In Waiting Check In~?*??*?~
This is a group designed for all the ladies in the various stages of waiting after a loss: waiting to miscarry, waiting for AF to arrive, waiting to TTC again, and waiting for a BFP. Since this process is such a true test in patience, it is nice to have the support and friendship of other women going through similar experiences and emotions. Check in every Tuesday and Thursday.

I love the inspirational verse! It made me cry! I am still waiting for my first AF to come after my D&C. I'm getting super anxious about having to TTA. I just feel like it's going to take so long. I know it is best for my body and mind so I know it needs to be done. I need to stop obsessing over it.
When I was young I wanted to be a pediatrician. I love children and thought that would be a perfect job. I'm a nurse so you can say I went into the same field, but I'm not in pediatrics. I actually work in oncology so it's actually pretty opposite. I would love to become a pediatric nurse if I had the opportunity.

I am currently waiting to O on my 1st cycle TTCAL. According to my new doctor, I have a beautiful egg ready to go and expect it to happen on Wednesday. So DH and I have been told to get busy for the next few days. It was pure chance that my doctors appointment was timed this way. I just went in for a post-loss check up and to meet my new doctor. So far he seems to be right... I got my very first + Wando OPK this morning!!!
I am hoping that we get our BFP this cycle, but I highly doubt I will be that lucky. It took 18 months for our 1st BFP, there is no way I'll get PG on our first month trying. I will be quite shocked if we did! Either way, my body seems to want to get back on track which is a very good thing. So I am hopeful that we can get pregnant unmedicated!
QOTD: I originally wanted to be in the army (which I did briefly). Then I wanted to be a police officer (got accepted to NJSP and then moved to NY). My adult dream was to be a nurse (still could happen). I currently work in Pharma, so I am no where near where I really want to be.

QOTD: I wanted to be a nurse when I was young. Unfortunately, I never did become a nurse because I realized that I couldn't stand the sight of blood.
Because of the great "Snow"vember of 2015, my medicated cycle was cancelled. However, we were blessed with our little rainbow baby due on 8/14/15! Baby J had other plans and decided to make his grand ole entrance on 7/4/2015!
Surprise! Our little girl entered this world on 12/8/2016 after her eviction notice was long past due. Our little turkey baby turned into a snow baby!
QOTD: I wanted to be a teacher, which I did for a couple of years. I decided that that's not really the route I wanted to go for the next 30ish years. Now I work with kids in the non-profit sector as a director of a before/after school program. I LOVE it!

Still waiting for AF so we can TTC again. I *think* I may have O'd already, which would be awesome, but I'm not entirely convinced.
We have our genetic counseling appt in a week (9/27) to talk about the Trisomy 21 diagnosis and see if we need to be tested as carriers, so any extra T&Ps that the appointment goes well would be awesome.
QOTD: I wanted to be a doctor or a scientist. I'm a nurse now, so I'm at least in the same general field. I love my profession

Waiting for AF - she should be here in less than a week. It is sick how excited I am to get my period! I can't wait to be officially TTCAL!
I really wanted to be either an astronaut or a teacher. I thought being an astronaut would be good because you got to eat that cool space food. Dehydrated ice cream anyone?? Plus you got to drive a space shuttle!
I am not an astronaut, but I do have my teaching license and plan on teaching after I have a baby!

I'm currently on my off cycle (I don't have my left tube and this is my ovulate from the left side month) so we're just practicing.
QOTD: I don't really remember. I know when I was running my goal was to go to the Olympics and become a track coach. Boring I know.
Status: In the 2WW. This is my first cycle trying after the m/c. I'm stupidly optimistic. I know the odds are not on my side, but I am trying to stay positive.
QOTD: There was never any single thing that I wanted to be that lasted very long. I changed my mind often. At one point, I wanted to be a ballerina. Then I sprouted boobs. I don't have the right body type for it, that's for sure.
Hi! I've been lurking on this board for about a week, since I had a d&c last Monday. I was not planning to "join" this board until I had my follow-up appointment with my OB in 2 1/2 weeks but if this is called "Ladies in Waiting," I like the sound of that!! As soon as I hear from my OB, I'll add the tickers. Humphrey is adorable!
I am just basically in limbo until I see my OB. Each day gets a little better for me emotionally. I returned to work yesterday and it is keeping me busy which is what I need. Physically, I have had no issues since the d&c except some very light bleeding that is almost sporadic now. I plan to TTC as soon as my OB gives me the green light...oh, and of course, when AF returns. So, like I said..limbo (twidding thumbs).
QOTD: I can't remember what I wanted to be...but I do remember being adamant that I would never work in a school. I hated being in school growing up. I'm actually a counselor working in a school and I LOVE LOVE LOVE the hours, the vacation days off, the option to have summers off. I'm not going anywhere else!

I am waiting to O, and sweet baby jesus I hate waiting for anything. I conceived the first time in the first month without really trying, so I didn't have time to be impatient. Now I feel like I will constantly be "waiting" for something...to O...2ww...for AF...to O again, etc.
So I totally see why there is a thread completely dedicated to waiting
I'm waiting for my first AF. It is so weird to actually want my period to show up.

I pretty confident that I O'd on Sunday so I am just in the 2WW now and wondering what will happen.
When I was a kid I always wanted to be a lawyer...when my friends and I would play they all thought I was so weird wanting to "play lawyer"! I think I just wanted to feel smart or something. I would even borrow my friends glasses and wear them because I thought they make me look smarter! Turns out I am not a lawyer, although I did give it a great deal of thought once or twice in my adult life!
Also, love the Thoreau quote...that is my favorite quote bar none!
Gracie....I loved dehydrated ice cream growing up! The dehydrated strawberries were good too! I actually went to space camp a couple of times, but that's about as far as my space dreams ever got!
I'm 8 DPO today and waiting to test... had a HUGE spike in temp today (after a dip) so I am cautiously optimistic for a BFP... if only I can hold out until Saturday to POAS... tick tick tick... time is moving way to slow!
I don't remember a specific occupation but I do remember dreaming of being a Soap Opera Star! Specifically on All My Children haha - Instead, I settled for a career in Human Resources... what was I thinking!?!? :-P
I had a very early MC our first month trying (too good to be true), and am just waiting for AF. I feel so powerless that it's making me nuts. I'm not in a hurry (not exactly, anyway), but feeling like a slave to my body's mysterious workings does not make for the best of temperaments!

I'm still waiting to O, probably tomorrow or Thursday. I had an awesome app with my new OB today. If I don't get a BFP this month, we'll being do a SA, cd3 testing, and an HSG next cycle. I hope I don't need the testing, but I'm glad to have a plan if I do.

Hello ladies, thank you for the special prayers. Grandpa is doing a bit better but they are having a hard time stabilizing his hemoglobin. They keep transfusing him with blood but he keeps loosing it just as fast as he gets it. Hopefully things will turn around. As for me, I am waiting to O. Got a +opk today so could be tomorrow or Thursday. I'm hoping for Thursday as DH is away for work again and won't be getting home till late tomorrow night. He gave me a nice batch on Sunday night before he left so hopefully that will do the trick if I happen to O before he gets back! I really hope this is our cycle!!!!
QOTD: When I was a kid I wanted to be several things and it changed everyday. The main things were Astronaut, teacher and a Nurse. I am currently a Registered Oncology Nurse and I love my job. It is challenging the best of days, but I love knowing that I made even the slightest difference in someones life!
Hi ladies. I am completely confused this week. I am about a week late for AF and I tested on Saturday and got a BFN. So I am thinking I must have ovulated late but I can't tell when exactly. My body seems messed up this cycle and after I had two very predictable cycles I was hoping for a little normalcy. So I will test again on Saturday if nothing has shown up yet.
I don't really remember what I wanted to be when I was younger. I know once I got involved in sports I wanted to play vball forever. I still would enjoy it if I could quit my job and just coach vball. I think that would be great!

I'm still in limbo after may D&C which was a week and a half ago. Just waiting for AF so we can start trying again (OB said one cycle). I also am waiting to make an appointment with my OB for follow up after my D&C, but I am working 24 hour shifts on the days that he has office hours next week, so I have no choice but to stick it out an extra week. Maybe all the genetic testing will be back by that time.

Hello Ladies! I had a miscarriage at almost 6 weeks back in June. We were told to wait 3 months (2 cycles) before trying again. We tried this month and now we have 10 days until we can test!! Good luck to every single woman on this board!
Hello, It has been 5 weeks since my D&C and I have had spotting and light bleeding since Thur. My doc told me at my post-op appt to wait until 1 cycle or after a normal AF. So I think I am going to consider this my AF since I have had light bleeding, but are going to wait TTC until my next AF as long as its more normal. I have been feeling a little better lately but today was not such a good day for me. Hate days like this and just want to snap out of my mood but know that it isn't that easy. The support from you ladies is amazing and has really helped me through this.
Answer to your question....I always wanted to be a teacher, and finished college and started student teaching and absolutely hated it
It was hard to hate something I thought I wanted to do my whole life! I am currently an assistant manager in retail and hate it but work with some great people....I want to use my psychology degree and maybe do something in HR since I have the experience but haven't found anything yet

QOTD: When I was little I wanted to be a surgeon. Then after I saw Bone Collector, I wanted to be a police officer or a CSI. Thats what I wanted to be all the way up til a few years ago. (Hence why I went Military Police in the Army). After I went back to school, I changed my mind to teacher.
I didn't like teaching, either! I was an adjunct after I graduated, and all of the outside of the classroom work just consumed my life.
