Any ideas for upping the "fun factor" w/hummus for snack?

DS has a snack day again on Wed, so I'm making homemade hummus to send.  I'm definitely planning to send baby carrots and probably some whole grain crackers for dipping.  Anyone have any ideas for how to add a little fun to this snack?  I like giving the kids a little extra creativity and fun, but I'm drawing a blank on this one.

  • Serve the hummus in mini muffin cups. Serve also with cheese cut into fun shapes? (can save the extra cheese and freeze and later use for mac and cheese.)

  • For the muffin cups, you can really cute ones at Joanns or Walmart (in the party supply area). Call it something other than hummus...can't think of anything though.
  • i have no idea how to make hummus fun but we always eat ours with pepperidge farm thin pretzels. The combo is so good..it's just like the sabra little combo hummus's.
