1st Trimester

5 weeks pregnant and huge???

Ok, so i have been pregnant before, 5 times to be exact, past pregnancies i have worked/college with all of them! Now i stay at home , i am only 5 weeks along and have noticed a huge change in my stomach area, i look like i am 4 months along already, no joke, it is terrible.......

I eat A L L day long, , , up to 6-7 times a day!!! Eating for 2 sure has came early this time around!! OMG...i was 160 pre-pregnancy, now i am 165....

 

Has anyone else experienced this , i mean women that have more than 1 child.....comments please!!! Thanks!!! <3

  • This is my first and I'm right there with you. I had no idea that baby bloat was this insane. My clothes don't fit and I feel like a big cow because I know the baby is just the size of an appleseed. Sigh. Drinking tons of water to try to help. Unfortunately, I'm craving carbs all. the. time. I've got to get it under control or I'm going to seriously pay for this in the end!

  • i'm 6 wks, had been trying to lose 10 lbs for a long time before, had lost 8 and since getting pregnant i lost the last 2... so i'm at my lowest weight in a long time... but somehow i feel huge and have had to leave my pants unbuttoned lately cuz they feel tight.  i think it's all just water/bloating at this point... but definitely check with your doctor.  everyone is different... but i think it's too early to see significant weight gain.  keep in mind that at this stage you definitely are NOT eating for two yet - it's easy to get out of control because you're thinking you need to feed the baby, and i know i've been eating more than i should cuz i'm afraid MS will kick in and i won't be able to eat anything for a while...  but at this point we have to be careful to stick to a healthy diet and not overcompensate - it's not until later you need extra calories, and even then it's only like an extra 400 a day which isn't much.

  • You are bloated. You might want to watch your caloric intake. There's o reason to " eat for two" at this point. Eat a healthy, balanced diet with appropriate calories.

  • I think you are eating too much.  You really don't even need to change your caloric intake during the 1st trimester.  Plus there is no such thing as eating for two. Yes you are supporting another life but at 5 weeks your baby is about the size of a sesame seed.  Drinks lots of water and watch your sodium intake.  Good luck!

  • Im 5 weeks as well, and I feel the same way!! im on baby #3,and have never felt like this before!!

    My boobs are huge, and I fee like I have a tummy already!!

  • I feel huge too, but I also never lost my baby belly from DD. But its just bloat at this point... it sucks :(
