Does your dh do this?

So I went grocery shopping yesterday.  The fridge, freezer, and pantry are well stocked.  (I hate running out in the middle of the week to pick up some random thing.)  Anyway, dh gets home from work yesterday stares at the pantry and fridge and proclaims there is nothing to eat.

Argh!

Re: Does your dh do this?

  • Mine is the opposite.  He will point to the fridge and say what about something with these? and point to a jar of pickles, cheese, and an egg.  That's when I tell him we're ordering take out!

  • Ah yes, apparently my Dh can't see food in the fridge or pantry unless it is at eye level, in front, label turned to him.

  • My hubs will literally forget to eat if I don't tell him to. I can't count how many times he stares at my blankly and realizes he forgot to eat lunch when I ask what he had. Of course, he'll also get a raging stomach ache from over eating once he starts. I swear he is missing the appetite gene.

You could probably remedy this by telling DH he can stock up next time and take over the grocery shopping.

"If it was a snake, you would be dead"  I utter this phrase multiple times a week. I need to start making DH cook at least one meal for us a week so he knows how to throw ingredients together.  I am currently working on eating down our pantry and freezer so I can focus on yummy fall recipes.

DH is in charge of feeding DS dinner so we have to have very explicit instructions about what to use.  A fridge full of leftovers with no explanation doesn't always work.

  • Mine does, but so do I sometimes. Sometimes what I plan just doesn't sound good anymore..I should work on that..
