Creative way to announce gender to our child

Tomorrow is the big day! We will  find out what we are having. After the appointment I have go back to work. When I get off to pick up our 6 year old daughter, I want a creative way to announce the gender to her. A coworker suggested getting a small cake from Publix and have them write "Its a Girl/Boy" on it, and let her open the cake box when we get home. Do you all have any other ideas?

    You could always tell her you want to make her a big sister shirt, and as your making it write, " to a little brother, or little sister" type of deal.  It may sound lame, but it's all i could think of haha.

    What about filling a big box with either pink or blue balloons.  When she takes off the top, all the balloons will fly up.....I think it's cute, and what little kid doesn't like balloons??  good luck!

    I saw where someone had baked cupcakes and changed the batter color to indicate the gender. Then when the cupcakes are unwrapped, it would be pink or blue.

     Yea My friend is doing that for her baby shower. Its called a gender cake. But I will have only a very short time from the doctor appointment until I pick her up. But that is a great idea, Thanks!
