New due date! April 17th, 2012

My Doctor's office called after my ultrasound and told me that my due date has changed from April 13th to the 17th. This works out better for my and my school schedule (I'm a teacher) but I'm disappointed I have to wait longer to share my news with everyone. I have told my family and a few close friends but I am ready to tell everyone! How long are you waiting to tell everyone and your employer? Ia anyone else having a hard time keeping it quiet?

    I am crazy.

    We want to wait until Thanksgiving until we tell our families and the 2nd week of December to tell work and friends.

    Not a sole knows yet.

    Sorry for losing a week.

    The only people we've told so far is my sister and her H. We'll tell the rest of our families and announce on facebook at 13 weeks (after my NT scan). I'd prefer to wait until I can't hide it anymore to tell work, but one of my coworkers is my fb friend, so I feel like once I announce it there I might as well announce it at work so she doesn't have to keep my secret for me.

    I would have told everyone after my U/S at 8 weeks, but they found a blood clot and want to do another U/S Wednesday.  It scared me a little so I kept the news private.  If all goes well Wednesday...we will be out to everyone!

    I am due the 17th too and waiting to tell most people and work at 13 weeks. I am not sure yet when I am going to tell my students. My clothes are getting tighter, so we will see how long I can hide it from them.

    I had a small clot at 7 weeks and it appears to have disappeared as of Fridays ultrasound. Hopefully you'll find the same! :)

    Yay for the 17th! You're a teacher too? What grade do you teach? My high schoolers aren't going to be easy to keep a secret from!

    I teach Eighth grade language arts, so hopefully they will not catch on as easily.... but it might just be wishful thinking on my part!  Being pregnant has certainly made the start of a new school year more tiring and I am already sad about leaving them in someone else's hands in April.

    Naps are definitely a must after school. It is exhausting, I agree! I am also sad about leaving in April. I teach Spanish so I'm worried they won't be able to find a qualified replacement!

    You can always tell teachers kids, because the majority of them have April, May, June, or July birthdays.  I think we are just planners.  My due date just got moved from April 5th to the 12th today.  After the temporary "still in the 1st tri" blues the practical side of me kicked in and I realized, yeah I won't wipe out my sick leave.

    oh.my. If that's what you really want to do, I hope you can! I would really die... lol. We started telling people this week and are putting it on FB next Tuesday on DH's bday :)

    I teach Middle School Spanish too! I am due April 28th, going for my first OB appointment this Wednesday. I too am hopeful that a good recplacement can be found for my leave. It's hard to find Spanish teachers!
