I am going to kill my coworker

He comes in this morning and the first thing he says is "I think I have flu?".  Seriously dude!  I just glared at him.  He was like I forgot we have a pregnant woman here.  He said he was going home after lunch.  He's still here.  I get not wanting to miss time(he doesnt get sick/vacation time) but it's not fair to put everyone else at risk. A$$hole!  Ugh...

  • How rude! If you are sick, stay home. You are doing everyone else a favor.

  • I was chatting this morning with a co-worker when another came over and announced that he had strep. He eventually went home, but my throat is starting to get a little scratchy and I swear he must have passed it down to a bunch of ppl in the office. I have a 9mo old at home too, so if I get sick, so does he.

The next few days should be interesting. I'm in complete agreement with ppl. Sick ppl should stay home.

  • OMG, this is seriously a huge pet peeve of mine!!! I had this happen a couple months ago. A coworker came in sick (coughing, sneezing, snotty, just disgusting) granted, I hadn't announced my pregnancy yet, but still....he should have stayed home out of respect for his co workers in general. I brought in a can of lysol spray and sprayed and cleaned everything he touched. He has a baby, so he "saves" his sick days for when his baby is sick.
  • Not sure if your work allows it, but my job has the ability to work remotely if I need to. I did it one afternoon when I was feeling nauseous. Maybe you could talk to your boss about working from home til the flu isn't going around your office? Or ask to be moved to a different area temporarily??Not sure if your work allows it, but my job has the ability to work remotely if I need to. I did it one afternoon when I was feeling nauseous.
