Is the Disney Movie Club worth it?

I just got another email about the Disney Movie Club program. I suspect it is similiar to the BMG music program that was big in the 90s.

Is anyone a part of this program? Is it worth it?

    My MIL is a member, but I wouldn't join.  You hit the nail on the head with BMG :)

    Angelakh -- has your MIL complained about it?

    Although I remember falling victim to BMG (like everyone else) I can't help but be curious in this darn Disney movie club.

    She orders all the time.  They have some good specials, but when you add shipping in it's about the same price to go to the store and pick up the movies.  I have looked through the catalogs they send her and haven't seen anything that screams - OMG, I gotta have it, kwim?  She has no complaints and loves it.  If she had her way, she would send FIL's entire paycheck to Disney :)

    I agree with that, but the benefit is that you get a bunch of free movies at the beginning and they often have some good stuff well under $10.  I joined to get the free movies, bought a few even over what was required and then cancelled.  

    You just HAVE to remember to decline the monthly selection if you don't want it.  You don't have to worry about mailing the card back - you can go right online and do it.
