Tell me about post-bust cycle AF (bring me your TMI! ;) )

Bring it on, I want to know. I went in for a blood test this morning to confirm that this cycle is a bust and assuming it is, I'll stop PIO and wait for AF. My RE's nurse said this should take 5-7 days.

In other somewhat related news, I just found out that in 7 days I will be flying to China again for work. Should be awesome timing. So tell me how bad it is, because, you know, I won't be around the corner from a Walgreens. Do I need to pack a whole suitcase full of tampons, pads and advil?? (I hope not.)

    Ugh - hugs.

    I never really had regular cycles, but my post bust AFs weren't any worse than my medicated AFs.  I think it may have more to do with how long it's been since my last bleed.

    I was in China few years ago... and their femine hygiene selection leaves a lot to be desired so... pack up!  Oh and I don't even think they understand the concept of tampons there!

    First of all, so sorry for the BFN. That stinks. When my IVF failed, i had AF from hell! They told me the same 5-7 dsy thing, but it started sooner. 3 days after stopping PIO. It has ver heavy with lots of clots and cramps. I swore i was bleeding to death or dying of pain first. I would equate it to my first pp AF in terms of heaviness.

    I may be an anomaly but my post-bust medicated cycle AFs (and I had a lot of them!) were never that bad -- or at least not worse than normal for me.  That said, I would still bring plenty with you to China!

     

    Sorry again....I hope maybe your beta has different news than POAS!

    Mine were no different than a regular cycle - but it sounds like this varies for everyone so I would pack up.

    So sorry you need to bring those dumb tampons.  I always hate to travel with AF.  Sad
