Back Pain

I'm 20 weeks pregnant with twins and need some tips on how to deal with back pain! My back is KILLING me! The doctor has given me some tylenol #3 to help, but it doesn't seem to even take the edge off. Any tips? I'm hoping to set up a massage this week to see if that helps.

    I checked my urine twice last week and I'm free of infection, so I'm thinking it is most likely muscular pain. I never realized pregnancy could cause such brutal back pain. I have a lot more sympathy for my OB patients at work now!

    My back killed me when I stood or sat too long, so I spent a lot of time changing positions to relieve the pain.  It was also a great excuse for me to get a massage from my husband almost daily. :)

    Assuming its just muscular a heating pad on my lower back and just staying off my feet has been my savior.
    Spontaneous twin boy expected in November 2011!!!

    Definitely this. As well as back rubs from DH. Warm baths. And making sure you are standing up straight, not swaying your back.
