Anyone else feeling fat yet? lol...

I spent this weekend taking a good look at how things were changing...and then I ran to the store to get a bra without underwire and a belly band...

Anyone else feeling like a big balloon? I know I can't diet with the baby, but what have you done to help combat the feelings of bloating/constipation and overall fluffiness? Wink

  • I think a better question would be "anyone NOT feeling fat yet?"  I feel like I just ate a big thanksgiving dinner all the time.

  • I have been feeling fat for weeks.  Things just don't fit anymore.  My shirts fit fine, but my pants...not so much.  The really sucky party is that my regular pants are too small, but my maternity pants are too big.  I wear a lot of yoga pants.  lol
  • I feel the same way!!!!  Unfortunately there's nothing i've been doing to help.  The m/s has been so icky that I can't stand going to a hot humid gym and i find if I walk more than 15 minutes my belly starts to harded and get a pulling feeling.  I try to drink as much water as possible and doing my hair and make up has helped me to feel more put together.  I teach dance so my clothing is shirts and yoga pants but even in those i'm feeling icky.  My biggest craving has been salads so that's helping me feel somewhat healthy!  LOL...when I start to feel better I want to do arm exercises with dumbells to help maybe tone my arms a bit.

  • Yes!  Last night my bloat was out of control (thanks to a bday weekend full of indulgence, so it was kind of worth it).  I just felt gross!  It's better this am, but I know that's short lived.  Ick!

  • Ugh I hate it. I don't eat a lot of junk. I exercise, stay active as much as possible, drink a lot of water. I don't get it. I just feel gross!!! :( I keep saying, I can't wait until I have a big baby belly that way it's obvious I'm pregnant. This in between stage where people can't tell and just think you've put on a few LB's is getting old! lol

  • Today I realized I desperately need to get some elastic-waisted skirts and empire-waisted dresses.  I just don't have anything that fits.  I tried to wear jeans this weekend, and they were fully unbuttoned, with the fly all the way down.  Covered by the Bella Band, natch, but still.

  • I feel huge. All the time. I know it's because I haven't been working out and have been drinking less water (I know that's awful.) I really try to drink, but water just makes me gag. I have tried to use crystal light packs and drink juice to get some liquids, but I agree... Looking like I just gained a few lbs is getting old pretty quick.

  • Yes I feel huge too.  Although...the other day my husband said 'When are you going to start showing?' I could've kissed him.  lol.  I'm like - ummm do you not notice this belly bulging out??

  • I don't feel huge in the mornings, but when the day seems to progress I get bloated (not too bad) better than earlier in my pregnancy- I'm still fitting in my clothes, but it's very tight...I'm hoping on waitging as long as I can to get in my maternity clothes...

  • Ohh I am definitely right there with you. The things I'm craving are not always healthy things. I want a lot of cereal and a lot of carbs. Last Thursday, frech onion dip was all that sounded good. I ate carrots and chips with it. And Friday, I indulged in a pumpkin spice latte and a pumpkin cream cheese muffin after a morning of serious m/s. Later that day when I was finally hungry again I ate more of the dip... my MIL said, "wow Steph if you keep eating like that, drinking lattes and eating muffins and dip, you'll put on 10lb before you know it." in a really rude way... so I put the lid on the dip and left the room. I heard DH scolding her but she never apologized... so yes I doooooo feel waaay fat. And I don't have brilliant remedies, unfortunately.

  • Ugh, me. I think it's because I actually AM fat though! Since my pregnancy is high risk I haven't been able to exercise and pre-pregnancy I took 6 spin classes a week so I've definitely gained from the lack of activity. Also the fact that all I can eat is carbs is not helping. I'm going to be a house by April!

  • I don't feel too out of control yet... I do remember from my last pregnancy exactly where I was when I started feeling fat though. I was getting out of my car in the Ikea parking lot and my door could not open wide enough and I got wedged in my car door in the middle of the parking lot and it took me about a minute to get unstuck. Embarrassed PRAYING nothing like that happens again
  • Omg, YES! I've gained about 5 lbs, but it feels like 15. At least.

    Ugh!  I had those moments last pregnancy also.  I also remember in several bathrooms I had to use the handicap stall since I couldn't close the door in the other stalls.  My tummy was just too big.  I am feeling rather fat though since I hadn't lost the baby weight before getting pregnant.  Oh welll...

  • Yes! And I'm still 6 lbs down from my pre-pregnancy weight, but I feel like I've gained 15. DH says I look the same, but I don't feel the same.

  • I just said that this morning, found out i was having twins the other day and have felt like a balloon ever since!

    And that could be because I cant stop EATING!

  • I feel disgusting. Fat and full. Like I just ate Thanksgiving dinner x 3.

  • I have been feeling HUGE!!! for a while know... that's why I was very surprised when I had my Dr appt and I had lost 4 lbs. I still dont know how that could be, when I feel bigger than a Hipo. But anyways, try to do some light exercise, such as walking or prenatal yoga... and that should help you feel a little better :)
