Time to put away summer stuff?

WDYT?
I'm not that concerned about Eve's stuff, she has a huge closet and her shorts are in a drawer that I probably won't even use for most stuff.. but Natalie has a TEEEENY closet and is kind of between sizes.. She can still fit in most 3 month stuff, but definitely fits in 6 month things and i actually had a 9 month outfit on her today. So it would be nice to pull out the super summery stuff, sunsuits, creepers tanks, that kind of thing..

Today was warm, but I wouldn't have put her in a sunsuit or anything.. and it got cold in the evening.

Re: Time to put away summer stuff?

  • I went through all of J's stuff on Friday and took out the summery stuff. I figured it's just taking up space and my "organization" with her clothes is already lacking so the less extra stuff, probably the better.

  • I was just thinking this!  I'm not sure what to do because there are still probably lots of short sleeve days ahead with pants.  And plus, now that dd is in 2t, it might fit in the spring too. (which obviously won't be the case with N).  I think I will end up going thru and taking out the shorts and dresses - anything that is only for hot weather.  And leave the short sleeve shirts in there.  Maybe do the same with N?  Leave short sleeve onesies in there, they are good under a sweater anyway, and take out the rest?
  • for sophia's stuff I plan on putting it in the consignement sale bins. for ethan's I'll put it in his closet olny b/c if he doesn't grow he can wear it next year.
  • I am going to pull out all of L's "thin" shorts and tanks...I'm going to leave a couple of the kakhi shorts- just incase we get a warmish afternoon

but I think its safe to put away the tanks, dresses and really summery stuff...

  • I feel like we wont have another t-shirt and shorts day - however I can see myself putting DD in capris with a t-shirt or in a skirt with thick tights or something like that.  I would start putting stuff away and leave out 1-2 sets of clothes, or just have a couple outfits in top in the box that you can just grab if we get a warm day.  Espeiclaly since your DD is in preschool, you don't want to be scrambling if it warms up again.
  • Last week I went through Eva's clothes and pulled out all the summery stuff and replaced it with fall stuff.  I left a couple pairs of shorts, one tank top and a bunch of t-shirts.  Everything else was boxed up.
