Our short list is now the following:
Marin Olivia P
Olivia Brynn P
Olivia Marin P
Raya Marin P
This week, we are calling her Marin to see how we like it.
Thoughts on the names? Is anyone else calling baby something for a certain amount of time to see how it fits him or her?

I kind of agree that Olivia is a little too poplar right now. Better for a middle name, I think.
My DHs name is Mark and he came up with Marin, as he thinks its cute because its similar. I think his thinking that is sweet :-)
Marin and Brynn are both on my shortlist!
(One after the other, actually). I think you are right not to pair them together though...they just don't flow nicely.
As much as I'm not a huge Olivia fan (I have a friend with an Olivia and another with an Oliver...so it's always been out for me)...I DO like it as a mn with Marin.
I saw Marin spelled with a "y" for the first time today...Maryn. Although some people aren't fans of adding gratuitous "y's" in the middle of names...I actually like it a lot!
BFP #1 09/02/11 M/C 09/12/11 8w6days
BFP #2 07/18/12 Baby S born on his EDD 03/23/13
SS - age 12...SD - age 8...DS - 13 mos.
I like Marin Olivia the best.
My niece is Maryn (pronounced Mare-en). I think it is a pretty name.
I like Marin Olivia!
Olivia is a beautiful name, but is too popular for me for a first name.
Raya is my third choice; I don't dislike it but don't love it. Although just as food for thought, our first choice girl name is Aurelia, with the potential nickname Ray.
Agree!
