I haven't posted here before though i do lurk occasionally.  Mainly post on the Adoption Board and the relevant "month" board (right now Paige is 4 months - almost).  Used to post a bit on the name board - but it is like crack - so i had to back away from it for awhile.

I am 39 and single.  Adopted her on my own.  This was my 2nd attempt - the first failed.  I have looked over the single board but their situation doesnt really apply to me - no X in the picture.  

I work from home (work in IT for a bank) while P goes to daycare (a really nice one - so happy with that).

    Congrats and welcome.  And a big standing ovation golf clap for tackling motherhood on your own.  (Not meaning to sound condescending at all).  You'll find it's so darn rewarding... especially when their little personalities start to come out. 

    We are, by far, the nicest, most normal board on the Bump.  We're all too "over" all the drama!

    Thanks for the welcome.   I have to say it is challenging but so fun.  And i am the lucky one...getting to be a mom is pretty cool.
