I'm 21 years old, happily married, and thrilled to be expecting our first blessing. Im a second-year senior in college for a degree in applied child development. I'm very blessed to have a faculty full of moms and students who love and appreciate children. I am curious though, how many other college moms are out there? I know I can't be the only one who feels like the fat kid on campus!
Re: Any other College moms?
I love it!
I started college really early (a month after i turned 17), so i'm used to getting strange looks on campus! My husband and i were only married for 3 months before we found out about LO.
5 cats. 1 baby.
I'm 21 years old too and happily married but I'm no longer in college, I finished last year with my Associates Degree. My husband and I are so excited to be expecting! It was definitely a surprise since we weren't trying but we can't wait!
I'm not in college anymore, I dropped out after two semester-didn't know what I wanted to study anymore.
However I am 20. DH and I have been married for over 1 year and have been counting down the days till we could start a family since 08 when we got engaged.
I am 30 years old and just started (September) my online RN to BSN. Will be graduating in August 2012. I have clinical time to schedule on my own around my full-time work schedule...this could get interesting!
I have my B.S. in Marketing, but the lovely field of Nursing does not recognize any other degree except a BSN. I hold a diploma in nursing, so the BSN is an upgrade :-)
I'm so glad i'm not the only one! Congrats to everyone on their April babies
We will all just have the smartest ones here!
I actually got done with my classes on Friday (vet asst) and i start my externship tomorrow! I'll be going back to finish up with vet tech but I'm on the fence of a few things. Do I start VT ASAP after externship, do I start in Jan (which is what I had initially decided to do), or do I start next August.
There are 6 sequences (semesters) and they last 6wks each. If I start ASAP then I'll be halfway done (3-4 seq), then have to take the 6wk break for baby. If I wait till Jan then I'll only be 1, MAYBE 2 seq in before I have to take a break. If I wait till August of next year I can work from the time I finish externship (Oct 28), take maternity leave for the baby then go back to work till Aug, then just cut back my hours to part time so that I can still go to school or just "quit" while I do my schooling. The good thing is, is that the kids will be back in school so I'll have the time to do my classes and get my school work done in "peace" before they get out (classes go from 8-12, kids go to school from 8-245/315). BLAH! Sorry for the ramble, LOL!
