We will be traveling next month--I know, I'm sorry, I know there have been many posts about traveling but I have a specific question. We plan on flying southwest since they seem to be the only airline that allow two free bags, anyway, I was checking their website and it says a stroller or car seat can be checked for free at curbside, ticket counter or gate. I've seen many posts about checking the stroller at the gate, but I wanted to know if anyone has been able to check it at the counter, which would be convenient since I'd rather wear LO through the airport. Thanks for replying.
Re: Has anyone flown Southwest?
I haven't, but just wanted to tell you that I was very glad to have the stroller with me in the airport. It helped when I had to go to the restroom, organize my bags, and when DD just needed a break. I was wearing her so much that day, that she liked being in her stroller by herself for a bit too.
Good Luck!
this! i wore dd the first time we flew and didn't bring a stroller...2nd time, brought the stroller and it was a lot easier on everyone lol

We just got back from flying southwest a couple weeks ago. I seriously loved flying with them. I flew solo with both kids, so I gate checked both car seats, 2 big bags, and our double stroller. I pushed DS in the umbrella stroller and wore DD. (They asked me to take her out through security and while taking off). They also gave me an escort pass for DH to help me through security which was a life saver.
We also got priority family boarding which was SO nice. The flight attendants on both flights were amazing and constantly checked up on us. Just call Southwest and tell them you are flying with a lap child and they are great about explaining all the rules for both Southwest and TSA.
Good luck!
Didn't think of that! Thanks ladies!
