Anyone ever been to a "fly-in" before? I was looking for air shows because Samuel loves to see planes fly but I don't know if the planes will already be there or they fly-in and park while people are there...
We have the EAA Fly-in in Oshkosh every summer. Some are better than others. Most are pretty well wrapped up for the year at this point though... A lot of times though you need special passes (i.e. $$$) to get up close to the planes.
That said, a trip to Oshkosh for the EAA Museum (any time of year) would be a good trip because they've got some hands-on stuff for kids.
We ended up going to the fly-in and it was great : )
It was in Mora (so prob a drive for most on here but not bad for us since we're in the Forest Lake area) they had about 6 planes fly in so we got to go look at all of them up close and a helicoptor. They also had airplane rides you could spend money on but that was great for Samuel because he just loved watching it take off and come back all of the time. It was free although they did have a chili cookout for freewill donations.
I should've listed the info beforehand for everyone but like my original post said I wasn't so sure what it was!

Thanks for the tip
