Did anyone else develop toxemia after their c-section? The minute my surgery was complete, my bp shot straight up. I had to stay in the hospital an extra day because of it.

I'm  really nervous about ttc #2 for this reason.

    I had preeclampsia with both of my babies.  The first pregnancy was not too bad but they made me have a C-section 4 weeks before my due date.  When I was pregnant with my second child I developed preeclampsia out of the clear blue in my 7th month going into my 8th and it was a little bit more scarier.  I was in the hospital 3 days before delivery.  The baby was delivered via C-section at 32 weeks and in the hospital for 3 weeks.  Luckily there were no problems with the baby.  Ask your OB/GYN what are the risks

    I had pre-e starting at 27 weeks, did strict hospital bedrest and made it to 37 weeks.

    Likely in any future pregnancies they'll want to monitor you a little more closely. I'd also talk to your OB about timing on a 2nd baby.
