DH is taping off the nursery to start painting tomorrow! I know some of you already have complete nurseries, so I feel behind. I am so excited to get it all together!!!
You are def not behind... my nursery currently still looks exactly like the guest room that it has been for the past year lol.
We are planning on clearing it out in a few weeks and getting the baby furniture delivered by the end of october. I figured I would wait till my shower to do any big changes.
I'm with you! So excited... we had to take wallpaper down, and now we're ready to primer/paint. We have to paint the ceiling too because the old paint chipped in the corner.
DH is about to start on the ceiling, then primer the walls. We will then eat, then I will join him to help with the actual paint. Hopefully it's done tonight, but we certainly plan on it being fully painted before the weekend is out!
Nope, you are definetly not behind : ) Our nursery is a complete disaster complete with a big spot of sample colors on the wall. I guess we have everything (because it was DS stuff) but the bedding (which is on back order), but it is all jumbled up and we still have to paint, install the molding, and put in a closet. The person who built the house had the spot made for it, but used the room as an office so we've got to drywall and everything. I'm hoping to do it in Oct/early Nov. We might have the nursery ready at the beginning of Dec.
Our wonderful baby boy, Kellen, was born on 12/27/07
I agree with the others...although mine is started, it is no where near complete. It has just been cleaned out and now the guest bedroom is a disaster....
You're not behind, We didn't have DS "nursery" done until he was 8 months, we co-slept until then, This LO will stay in our room until they are old enough to share I guess.

We've really just started getting stuff together and aren't even painting! Don't feel behind at all. We aren't even procrastinators yet! That will be when its a week before I'm due and I'm realizing that I really aught to wash some baby items before she comes home from the hospital...
We're *finally* getting our nursery underway. DH has spent the last week installing recessed lighting and a new ceiling fan, and today we went to buy the paint so he can paint this weekend. Our furniture is all ordered and will be here the w/o Oct. 6, so it's time to get a move on!
My goal is to have the nursery done before November... we shall see!

This is us too. Last weekend we cleared out the nursery and now the guestroom is a disaster along with various piles of random stuff in our living and family rooms. We are painting tomorrow and then still have flooring to install before we can start moving stuff into the baby's room.

You aren't behind. All we have done is clear out the room, vacuum and shampoo the carpet and put the doors back on the closet (they were falling off because we didn't have them on correctly.) I do want to start painting soon.

You sound like us Thought I was the only one who had the "nursery" still looking like it did pre-preg (well, with the exception of all the hand me down baby stuff it has accumulated....) Glad to know we are not alone!
Count me in the behind camp! We won't be having a nursery until we move when LO is about 8 months old but we still have to rearrange the furniture in our room to make room for the dresser (which is here but needs to be built) and the crib (which I'm ordering tonight).

Well I guess we're really behind then. Our nursery still is being used as an office, and probably will be until the middle of October. We're waiting until after the shower and for DH's work situation to calm down a bit. Have fun painting tomorrow!

If your behind and starting to paint tomorrow... where does that leave me? I just got our extra stuff cleaned outta the bedroom but we havent started anything at all. Our plans include: ripping up the carpet and replacing it, sanding then painting the walls, replacing the window, making a closet. On top of making the baby's crib and getting stuff for the baby. Oh Dec you are too far and then not far enough away!
You are not behind! DH just finished putting up new studs and ran new electric. The new window is hopefully going in tomorrow and then he still has to put insulation in and put up sheetrock. I'm hoping to be painting the room next week.
Thankfully we have all the furniture we need/want. I just can't wait to get everything in her room and all set up.
We have a crib up but we still have to paint - which we don't plan on doing for another couple of weeks! I wanted to start painting sooner but the weekends just got away from us. Oh well, I am just hoping that it will be done by the time the baby gets here!
Don't worry, you're still light years ahead of us - ours won't be done until LO is ready to move into the crib after being in the cradle for months on end in our room...
