We are not finding out the sex of our baby until the big day. I just bought the outfit to bring baby home in. It is a cable knit body suit with matching beanie in an ivory color. I wanted to snazz it up a little so I was going to bring some accesories to the hospital.
If it is a girl I was going to add pink booties and pin a pink flower to the beanie.
As for a boy, well, I am at a loss. Any suggestions besides blue booties to add to the outfit?
Thanks in Advance!
Re: Input needed.
DMoney will be a kickass big sister
This is the exact outfit I want for Baby's bringing home outfit. Would you mind posting where you got it? I can't find it in a newborn size, only 0-3 mos.
I was thinking of the same thing, having a cute beanie to coordinate with whatever kinda kid pops out.
For a boy, I was thinking of these kinds of things:

Some of these are patterns, but they are great ideas for finding something to purchase. I'd like to do a brown crochet hat/beanie/bear hat for a boy, and I'd love something like the koala ears or a flower beanie for the girl.
Here's a blue knit beanie from The Gap...has matching booties!

All great ideas. Thanks so much.
I couldn't find it in newborn size either so I bought it in 0-3 and I am going to tailor it a smidge smaller when I get it. Those Etsy hats are too cute. I went to Michael's today and they have a ton of fall flowers in so I think I am going to go with a fall colored flower for a girl.Just waiting on delivery to actually see the color in person. Here is the 0-3 size in case you want it (even though you said you have found it)

I think for a boy I might just get a blue beanie and booties. I LOVE the idea of the football logos but hubby and I are a house divided when it comes to our teams so that would probably just cause an argument.
Thanks all.
Thanks for posting about the size you purchased. I was racking the internet for months for a newborn romper because I love this idea. How are you going to tailor it; length, width, etc.? I thought about trying to shrink it but am afraid of how it will turn out. Have you thought about shrinking it, and if so, what made you not go that route? Besides, me being cheap! lol - I just love it and want it for the take home outfit/pics. Also - Ivory looks great on newborns.
Sorry- I JUST saw this. I was trying my hand at cutting some length off some of the leftover ruined clothes from my son and rolling it and sewing it that way. I tried this out on some stained pants from when my son was young and have since decided to have my grandmother do it for me. She is an expert seamstress and I just don't have the confidence to do it well. Plus, she can make it so that I can undo the stitching as the baby gets older. She isn't going to cut any fabric where I would have.
