S/O: Video monitors for two kids?

We have a video monitor in DDs room, and I'd like to keep it there even after the next baby comes. Is it possible to have video monitors for two kids? Do we have to have two actual screens on my nightstand? I have a Summer monitor now, and the screen is huge (not a handheld one).  Is there a way to have one monitor and two cameras?

Any advice is most appreciated!

Re: S/O: Video monitors for two kids?

  • our friends have the same video monitor that we do for their two kids. they have 2 cameras, each set to a different channel (the switch for A or B on the side). They can just switch back and forth between the two cameras. they usually keep it on the baby, but if they hear suspicious noises from their toddler's room they can switch over to him.

so i *think* that's what we are going to do...I need to ask them where they bought just the second camera.

  • Loading the player...
  • We have the Summer Infant handheld and bought another camera for DD#2's room.  I bought the extra camera from Amazon, but you can also get them directly from the company.  We just switch back and forth between Camera A and Camera B on the monitor to check in on each girl.

It works well and we don't have to tote around two monitors.

  • We have the Summer Infant Sleek and Secure monitor with extra camera. It toggles between the two rooms all night long.
