i love mine! ive had it since about 12 weeks. now that i feel him move i dont use it as much but to me it was totally worth buying. definitely gives u piece of mind. especially if the baby is being lazy and u get worried. ebay is a good place to try. i have the sonoline b.
My grandmother showed me how to use a regular stethoscope to find LO's heartbeat. It's more difficult to find the heatbeat, and you can't hear it as wel as with a dopplerl- but it works. For days when he doesn't move much, it makes me feel tons better. I've been able to pick up his heartbeat with the stethoscope from week fifteen.
However, if I had had the time to research and purchase my own doppler? I probably would have, if only for the better quality.
I love mine! I got it at about 15 weeks on Amazon for only about $30...used it pretty much daily until now, when I don't use it at all, since she's constantly moving! It was totally worth it for peace of mind!

This, I got mine for my first pregnancy for about $65 and I LOVE it! The piece of mind it gives me on an anxious day is well worth the money I paid for it!!! Its also fun to be able to let grandparents or close friends hear the hb if they are interested

I used the sonotrax Basic. Got it on craigslist for 40 dollars. Its 149 new. I am trying to get rid of it cause I don't use it anymore because I can feel the baby move all the time now. Ebay won't let me sell it though without FDA approval or something.
