Ok, so my daughter started daycare full time last week. She was on a
3-4 hour eating schedule and ate 6 ounces at every feeding. Since end
of last week, she's only been eating 1/2 of her bottles and they have
been giving her the rest a little later. Anyone else's LO go through
this? I'm concerned that she's not eating enough...she's still drinking
her bottles at home. DC said that she seems frustrated when she sees
the other kids eating their solid lunches (i wasn't doing solids for
lunch), so I figured I would try giving her some solids to have with her
lunch bottle on Monday. I just need to know if this is normal for the
transition to daycare...
I think it sounds normal. Babies are changing so fast in the first year and on top of that adjustments to a new environment are expected.
As for the solids, go with your gut. Don't let the teachers pressure you into anything you don't want to do. If she has had solids before then I would go for it though.
And I think she will start drinking more too. She just news some time.
