Induced Labor - Pitocin and Epidoral

Hi Ladies,

 My sister is going to have an induced labor tomorrow and she wants to know if it is safe for her to get Epidoral if necessary.

    Congrats to your sister. I was induced with Pitocin and also had an epidural..perfectly safe...tell her good luck

    yes - its a pretty normal procedure.

    There are side effects to both interventions though.  She might want to discuss side effects w/ her doctor or mid-wife though.

    I was induced both times in my previous pregnancies with Pitocin.  I wanted an epidural, but unfortunately I dilated too fast (in both cases).
