I feel like I never wake up all day

I drink coffee, eat healthy, and am active (not to mention I sleep 8-9 hours a night) but I feel like I never really "wake up."  I guess it was different with my first pregnancy b/c I could take more naps and sleep in on the weekend... any tips?

  • I hear ya! I know it sounds crazy, but have you tried cutting OUT the coffee? Coffee just makes me feel sick and after five minutes, really sluggish. I rarely drink any now that I'm pregnant, but it might help if you laid off of it for a while.

Hopefully soon you'll feel more like your normal self again... the cloud seems to slowly be lifting for me!

  • I felt that way until recently, but the best and only tip I got was to just give in and sleep. But it sounds like that is not really an option for you. Sorry I'm not more helpful.

  • Me either! I'm finally just barely able to get through the day without a nap, but I'm still not all that alert just yet. Hopefully that picks up soon.

  • I think its getting kind of better. I am still exhausted and take a nap each day and go to bed early. But I don't feel like I am wandering around half dead!

I actually have tried cutting out the coffee (it was making me feel sick for awhile) and nothing really seems to help.  Thank you though for the tip!  I guess I have to keep looking at the bright side... only 6 more months of being pg and then I only have to wake up every 2-3 hours with a newborn for a couple of months :)
