Any recommended facial cleansers/moisturizers?

My doctor would prefer for me not to use facial products that do not contain salicylic acid.  I was reading up on it so I asked him about it.  Can any one recommend me any facial products namely a cleanser and moisturizer that's safe to use during pregnancy?

  • I use Cetaphil face wash...it's gentle and cheap so double bonus!  I do splurge on my moisturizer though, but I think it's worth every penny - Ole Henriksen Sheer Transformation.

  • I use Basis or Purpose--both are cheap and mild, but Purpose has a pretty strong scent. I LOVE Neutrogena Sensitive Skin facial lotion (it's in a white bottle with a purple label on the front)! It works great for any excema flare ups that I get.

I have also used Cetaphil but the kind that is for "normal" skin is a little too oily for me and the kind that is for "normal to oily" skin is a little too drying.

  • I use the CVS version of Purpose, and the smell isn't quite as strong.  It has worked wonders for my face that decided to look like a 14 year olds again.  I even use it on my chest and back.

  • I use Garnier Moisture Rescue.

  • Belli Acne Clearing Face Wash is designed for pregnant women, and I love the smell (like lemon meringue pie) and it doesn't get all soapy and sudsy or dry out your skin.  Took a couple of weeks or so, but my face is much more clear now.  Can be pricey though. Good Luck!

  • I use neutrogena foaming cleanser and makeup remover. It works well and is pretty cheap.
