My Little Snugabunny Swing

For anyone who has this swing, are you experiencing these issues?

1. The clips in the back stick and are difficult to use when trying to raise and lower the seat.

2. Sometimes when the seat is in the laying position, it slams down into the reclined position, shaking baby and waking her up.

I want to call Fisher Price and wanted to know if there is something wrong with our swing or if it is defect in the swing in general.

TIA!

  • Also... do all of the speeds seem the same to you???

  • I have never tried adjusting the positions so. Can't help you there. However, my motor completely died, and it no longer swings. That has been a nightmare in our house for days since Mason loves his swing so much. I have resorted to sitting on the floor next to him and pushing it manually. I am hoping BRU takes it back. Ms expensive swing on the market, and I have to push it myself! It is great when it works though. As fir the speeds, only a minimal difference, no really enough for them to have 5 levels.
  • Sorry for all of the typos. Still getting used to the iPad, and I am nursing at the same time.

I just wanted to let you know that I called Fisher Price and they are sending me a new seat. I would call them about your motor. They seemed very willing to fix the problem, and very quickly :)

Thanks! If BRU doesn't make the exchange today, I will call FP.
  • I have noticed that the seat will pop up from laying down to reclining if I don't make sure it's secure. Now that DD is getting heavier, we don't rely on the motor to get the swing started. We'll turn it on to the desired speed and give it a push, so the motor just has to keep it going.

I sincerely hope it doesn't die on us since DD loves it and we're counting on using it with Baby #2 someday.

  • I contacted FP about a problem with ours.  The music starts on its own and always changes to the rain setting and it's LOUD. I can turn the volume down, but then it will stop and start up again at the louder setting.  It startles the heck out of LO.  They told me that it has a defective motor and that they'll send me a new one at the end of the month (back ordered).  I'm not really sure how that's related to the motor because the swing moves just fine...it is just the music.

They said that I could return/exchange it but I'd have to send the 2 legs to them first, then they'd send me a new swing, then I would have send the rest of the swing.  They also said I was responsible for shipping costs.

    BULLS#IT!

  • I am so mad right now. BRU won't take it back. Fisher Price will replace the motor but it is on back order so I won't get it until approximately October 7. Great! That is a month without Mason's favorite item. Hates his bouncy seat. The swing is the only item Incan place him in. This is so frustrating!
  • I didn't even know that the seat had different postions! As for the speed, it's not really designed to go faster. You need to turn up the "speed" as LO gets heavier to make it go at the same rate.

I didn't know it had different positions either!  Awesome.

Crossing my fingers that it doesn't crap out anytime soon though.  What a bummer.

  • I've been using mine since DS was born 9 weeks ago and haven't had a single problem.  I wonder if the motors are crapping out because you're not plugging them in?  Just a thought.  I know batteries can be strained pretty bad by swings.

Nope. Never used batteries in mine. I looked at online reviews, and it seems like the motor issue is somewhat common. Probably why they are backordered until October. I would have REALLY liked my swing last night when LO decided to be up from 12am to 6am.
  • I know this is an old post, but, my motor went out in my swing as well. I may have to call Fisher Price about this and see if it can be replaced as well. Such a bummer since my dd loves to swing.
