So Of course I'm late .... Baby Mason arrived September 4th at 10:21am
This is how it all began .....
Friday September 2nd:
I went in for my 40 week dr. appointment and I was already scheduled to be induced that coming tuesday, but when he checked me and saw such little progress (no effacement and 1 CM dialated) he moved it up to that sunday, He said for me to be at the hospital at 5pm to start Cervidil and then potocin Monday Morning.
I went home and when I got home I lost my mucus plug at about 11 am. Later that night I was getting ready to go out to dinner with my SO and some friends, when I went to the bathroom and yeap ... there it was Bloody show, This was at about 7pm, then at dinner I kept having cramps which I wasnt timing or even thinking could be contractions until .....
Saturday September 3rd: (my due date)
I was awoken at 4am with horrible contractions, They were about 15-20 mins apart. I contiuned through that day having contractions and timing them with my handy app I downloaded haha well they seemed to stay at 7 mins apart and were getting stronger & stronger until finally at about 11pm I said F**K this 5-1-1 or 4-1-1 thing I'm going to the hospital!!!! We arrived at the hospital and I got checked in and they told me my contractions were 2-3 minutes apart and I wasnt leaving without a baby, I was 80% effaced and 1 1/2 cm dialated, so that mean I had to walk. BOOO!!!!
Sunday September 4th:
We started the dreaded walking and and when i returned I was 2 cm dialated, The rest I'm not sure of times but I tried to tuff it out and ended up asking for medicine for pain when I was at 3 cm and they had started Potocin. Then things started to get really intense, My doctor came in and looked at me and said "you didnt want to wait until tonight huh??" then he said "are you in pain?? why are you sitting there in pain??? get her and epi and break her water." I told him I was only at 3 cm's and he checked me and I was at 6cm. I got my Epi and I dont believe it worked to well, One leg felt tingly and the other did not at all. I couldnt lift them straight up of course on my own but when they were laying down on the bed I could move them with no problem which I didnt think was suppose to be happening!!! Next thing I know I felt crazy pressure was check and was at 8 cm, and I complained that I needed to push (my nurse probably hated me!) She checked me again and I was at 10cm but the right side of my cervix wasnt 100% yet, so I had to wait. The urgency to push drove me crazy that was one of the worst feelings. Finally I was complete and started pushing at 9:21 am. My doctor came in at 10:20am and told me to push for him so I did and he said half way throught my push "no no no no stop, just stop" and I was thinking whats wrong??? and said ok go again, and I felt the worst pain of my life..... Thats right an episiotomy. Then little man came right out with my next push and arrived at 10:21 am 7lbs 2oz. 21inches long. He is truly amazing and I couldnt love the little guy anymore!!!!
