I took a FRER Tuesday at 12 DPO, and instead of getting a light pink line or nothing at all, it actually appeared to get lighter where a test line should be.
Not convinced, I used a digital yesterday and got a "NOT PREGNANT". So I figured I was just seeing things on the test from the day before. That was until I read that digitals are less sensitive, which gave me some hope.
I tested again today, 14 DPO, on a $Tree test, and the same thing happened. It's even more noticeable than on the FRER from Tuesday.
My question is this, has anyone else ever had this happen? If so, was it in fact a line and you were pregnant, or was it some kind of fluke?
TIA
Re: Weird, possibly stupid question
Well, I already have my hopes up, so I don't think you're doing much, if any harm!
I wouldn't think much of it if it hadn't happened twice, with two different types of tests. We'll see what happens! Thanks!
Thanks. I know a lot of people who use digitals to confirm when they're not 100% if they have a line. I'm looking at images of evap lines online now...that's probably all they are. At least that's what my logical side is telling me...the other part of me is asking, "On two different tests? Within the allotted amount of time?"
I'm not giving up until AF arrives, but I do realize it's a long shot. I have another digi that I'm going to use if she is late! Thanks again!
Sounds like it could be an evaporation line, which is nothing. I'd wait and keep testing!
Evaporation ("evap") lines result with the test's antibody strip just looks slightly different than the space around it. The Test/Result line turns pink only if pregnancy hormone is detected. If not, the moisture passes over this strip and does not turn pink. It may, however, become more visible when the light hits the moisture on the strip-- it may appear gray, colorless, like a "dent" in the test, or like a "ghost line." It may appear at any time-- as soon as the urine hits it, after a few minutes as the test absorbs the moisture, or after the 10-minute time limit. It may appear when the test is drying, or after it has dried. It may disappear as the test is drying, or after the test has dried, or not disappear at all. From peeonastick.com
I'm thinking that might be all it is too! I'm hoping that's not the case though!
I plan to keep testing until AF arrives or I get a more definitive positive! Thanks!
Perhaps wait a few days... Buy another line test (perhaps a more expensive one) If it is a faint line again... make a dr's apt and get a blood test. High hopes for you!
