Snuza Halo vs Snuza Go

So, I am going to buy one of these.  I haven't slept well since we moved LO into his crib.  He, on the other hand, has slept great.  LOL!  I literally wake up 3-5 times a night to check on him.  Often I can't go back to sleep, so I'm dragging my ass all day while he is wide awake from his 11 hours of sleep.

Alright, enough rambling.

Do you think the Halo (that vibrates and then alarms) is really that much better than the Go that just alarms?

Re: Snuza Halo vs Snuza Go

  • I had this debate when we were purchasing ours.  Sophie came home on the apnea monitor, when it was time for her to come off... I just could not stop cold turkey.  I researched and came across the Snuza.  I'm so happy I did.

Her Apnea Monitor did not vibrate, so I did not feel the vibration option was necessary.   I went with the Snuza Go!  With the Go! you can set the alarm to go off a little bit sooner than the Halo.  I guess, I just felt like I'd rather hear the alarm immediately, opposed to waiting on it to vibrate then alarm.

Good point.  Gabe was on a monitor too.  He's been off for about a month, but was in our room so I wasn't so anxious.  The Go! is so much less $, so that is the one I'm leaning towards.

  • I've had both (one of my dogs chewed up the Halo a week after I got it...I ordered the Go to replace it... Opted for overnight shipping because I felt panicky without it!). I would go with the Go - I really dont think the vibration is necessary.

  • I ordered the Go just this morning from amazon - free two day shipping with amazon mom!

I would wake up numerous times at night to put my hand on DS's chest (in his bassinett right next to my side of the bed.)  DH and I were thinking about moving him to the nursery this week, but after that thread the other night (even though I know it was made up), I put the brakes on the move.  I told DH I would be more comfortable with having the snuza to move him since I'm paranoid about sids.  DH thinks it's all because of the thread I told him about, but I woke up during the night long before that.

DH didn't want to spend the money on it, but after reading the reviews on it he told me to go ahead and order it (normally I would have ordered without asking DH about it, but we've been watching our money a lot closer with the medical bills rolling in).  He told me that if our baby ever died of sids and he told me not to order the snuza, that our marriage wouldn't last through that - so he wanted me to order for my peace of mind and his.

  • I went with the Halo but only because it was for sale on Zulilly.
