PIO and symptoms

Who wants to talk about symptoms with me? Phantom or real?!?

My beta is 9/18. I can't/won't test before then. I have college friends coming to stay at our house this weekend and don't know how I would get through till Saturday if it was negative. So I am very anti-POAS.

But besides sore boobs and a very sore butt, I have been really nauseas and very sensitive to smell, like I can't stand near a trash can, look at dirty dishes, be anywhere near an ash tray or smoker, and if my dog walks in the room it sends me running, my little normally not smelly 7 pd dog.

Last night I started having shooting pains in my, um, I guess my uterus. That's good right?

My ER was 9/3 so I am 11DPO and 8 days past a 3 day transfer.

UGH this 2WW is KILLING me!!!

What symptoms did you guys have? Am I crazy??

    I think it sounds promising! I don't recall PIO making me nauseous. I am not anti POAS but I tested at 7dp5dt and it was so faint I wasn't convinced it was +. Hang in there a few more days. Fingers crossed!

    Augh, you're killing me!  I wish you could test now, but I understand why you want to wait... especially with visitors coming (though I would use the excuse that I had to test so I knew if I could drink or not...Wink).  The sensitivity to smell and cramping pains sound promising!  Cramping was my first symptom, as well as being really thirsty, but that was about it.  My boobs got large and heavy a little while later.  I hope these are all signs that it worked!  Can't wait for your beta!!  :)

    I had a lot of shooting pains so I hope thats a good sign for you! I was also very thirsty.

    I'm impressed at your ability to not POAS! I was testing from 4dp5dt... but I will admit it drove me nuts!

    Sweetie I really really hope those are real symptoms.  But please don't rely on them.  I had at least 2 cycles that I really really thought my symptoms indicated pregnancy and those were BFNs.  Not to say your symptoms aren't for real.  Just... I don't want you to get your hopes up incase.  You can make it until your beta.  The drugs really mess us up into thinking we are pregnant.

    I HATE the mindgames symptoms play on us!!! For me my only real symptom was AF cramping starting 3dp5dt...

    I hope so badly that this is IT for you!!! You deserve some freaking awesome news for a change!!

    And i'm with you- total anti-POASer. I think they are the work of the devil :)

    I made it one day longer... 9dp3dt before I poas. I'm a poas pusher, so I won't be much help (althought I completely understand) in supporting you not poas :)

    I remember being sore from the PIO and feeling a heavy feeling. I also still felt really crampy... but that could also have been my innerds still recovering from the retrieval.

    T&P that this is it.  I really hope your symptoms are real.

    When I was pregnant, I couldn't stand the smell of smoke... I normally don't like the smell, but it was definitely worse when I was pregnant.  Shooting pains sound familiar as well.

     

    TTC #1 since October 2008. Dealing with MFI.
    IVF #1 w ICSI in July 2010 = BFN
    IVF #2.1 in Oct 2010 converted to IUI = BFN
    IVF #2.2 w ICSI in Dec 2010 = BFN
    Met with new RE in new city on 1/31/11.
    IVF #3 w ICSI in April 2011. HPT on 5/9 = BFP!
    Beta #1 on 5/10 (10dp5dt) = 99.4. Beta #2 on 5/12 = 284. First u/s on 5/26. = Fraternal TWINS!
    Twin boys born & lost on 8/16/11 at 18w1d due to PPROM & preterm labor.
    IVF #4.1 in Jan 2012 converted to IUI on 1/7/12 = BFN
    IVF #4.2 w ICSI in Feb 2012. Lupron on 2/10. Stims on 2/18. ER on 2/29- 7R,6F
    ET scheduled for 3/5/12- nothing to transfer :(
    Dh seeing new MFI uro & Dh starting meds- June 2012.
    IVF #5 in Dec 2012 = BFFN.
    IVF #6 planned for Spring 2013. Praying for our take home baby/ies.

    I can't think of much from my last IVF. But I know my IUIs, I was also on PIO, so it's like they are all merged into one memory. The one time I thought it worked it didn't and the next time I was sure it didn't and it did. Such a mind warp!

    The friends coming don't drink, so that's no help:> I can make it to Sunday and I am just trying to stay calm. I am glad I have days off next week. That helps.

    I really think POAS is evil. That one cycle I did POAS was the one where I just knew it worked. It was my 2nd IUI, it just crushed me.

    I think they are all good signs! I had no symptoms whatsoever, even from PIO and prometrium combined.

    I'm no help because I think you should POAS.  Can't be sure what those symptoms are until your beta or your POAS!  I don't think the PIO causes sensitivity to smell and nauseousness, so hopefully those are good signs.  Good luck!

    Actually, I didn't have any discernable symptoms form the PIO, and my IVF worked! Your symptoms sounds rather promising;Smile I had them starting around 7 weeks.
