Can you fit into your pre-pregnancy pants?

I can't!  I can get them on and button them, but I have terrible muffin top - not to mention they are very uncomfortable.

I know it's only been 5 weeks but I feel like it's been sooo long and I should be able to fit into them! It doesn't help that my husband brings home junk all the time!

Re: Can you fit into your pre-pregnancy pants?

  • yep. I'm finally able to comfortably wear them, but I've been able to get them on since 1 week PP. They bothered my c/s scar until the last couple days though

  • Sad but not really........I can finally get them on but now they dont button :( I really REALLY dont want to have to buy all new jeans. Iv got 5 lbs to go till im pre preg so maybe that will do the trick.

  • I am like the OP, I can get in them and button them, but I also have the muffin top and a little bit of a bump in the front for skin and fat, I'm confident it will go away very quickly once I workout though:)

  • some of them are actually comfy now, but still have a muffin top. I recently cut down on junk food to help speed things up.
  • Yes, but I prefer sweatpants or athletic shorts right now because it's just easier and more comfortable!

This, it looks like I'm wearing jeans a size or two too small. I weigh less now than pre pg, but these jeans don't show it! LOL

  • I tried my pre-preg fat pants and they won't go past my thighs. I know it's still early but that scares me :(

  • This is crazy, but I honestly can't find my pre-preg jeans!  We've looked everywhere and I have all my tops out of storage, but I can't find my pants anywhere...  I know I probably wouldn't fit into them right though.  :(
  • I haven't tried yet--my incision site is still very sore so I'm just wearing sweatpants and shorts for now--I figure I'll try in a few weeks.  I do have a few pairs of jeans/pants a size bigger than I usually wear (gained some weight pre pregnancy) so I"ll try those first

That was me for the first week or two, and now I'm wearing a pair (although I still do have 10 lbs to lose).

Same here but I can button them but they are tight and uncomfortable.  I hope 5 lbs does the trick!

  • no...i lost a bunch of weight before getting PG and threw away all my fat clothes and bought a bunch of skinny clothes. bad idea...i had to go out and buy new jeans :(

  • Yes, they fit. There is one pair that doesn't fit well (I still have some junk in my trunk from the pregnancy), but all the others do. They didn't fit until 4.5 weeks pp.

  • At one week pp, I could zip up my jeans. They did not fit me t 12 weeks.

They are uncomfortable as hell though.

  • Haven't even tried, I'm going to need to lose a lot more before I'm going to even attempt.
  • Yep. I credit it to BF'ing and never sitting still throughout the day!
  • bahahahaha.. No! :( I was in awesome shape pre-pregnancy so I ditched all my fat clothes just before getting my BFP. I just bought 2 pairs of bigger jeans to hold me over.

  • Nope!  I've still got a ways to go.  I know it'll come off eventually with BFing so I'm really not that worried.  It took a long time to put all this weight on and it won't all come off immediately.

  • They go on and button but look awful because of the muffin top! I stretched out my spanx in the beginning of the pregnancy so I need to buy another pair. My jeans might work with spanx.

This is totally me!!  The year before I got pregnant I went from a size 14 to size 8.  Yesterday I tried to get out fat clothes and couldn't even get into my 14's!!!  I gained 55 pounds during this pregnancy!!!  SO depressed right now!

  • Nope and I'm pretty bummed about it. I gained 25lbs during pregnancy and lost it all within the first week. However, my body looks NOTHING like it did before! My jeans are sooo tight on my butt- so I know that got bigger (which I'm fine with)- and my tummy is flabby. :/ So I weigh the same as before but my body changed. Can't wait to start working out! For now I wear lounge pants around the house and maternity pants out.
  • Yes, but they are not attractive! Tight with a side of muffin top...

  • Yep! I was able to get into them and zip/button them the first week, but my episitomy was screaming at me, so I'm waiting a few more weeks to try them on again!
  • Aw...I'm too lazy to look at all the posts, but I can't get my pp skirts past my thighs (I dont wear pants)!! It's so sad! I dont want to buy new skirts yet, but I'm stuck with my too big preggo skirts and my too small prepreggo skirts. It really sucks. I still have 10lbs to go to be back to "normal" but I feel like my thighs have just ballooned and will never get back to normal!

  • Depends.... I can't fit into my skinny jeans anymore, my thunder thighs won't allow it. However, I can fit into other jeans that are the same size but not skinny legged... After DD#1 was born, I was in a size 8-10, was a 0 before BFP. I have a wide range of sizes in my closet because I was back down to a 4, some size 2 jeans before getting a 2nd BFP. I had just gone out and bought a new wardrobe too because I gave away all my skinny clothes to DH's sister and charity thinking I would never be skinny again....

  • I can get them on... but I would never wear them out of the house! Massive muffin top! Gross!

  • I feel pretty lucky that I was able to wear them through all 9 months of my pregnancy with a little help from a belly band, and was able to button them up to go out 3 days after Z was born.

This!  I can zip them up and could probably get away with them in public but I have a pretty bad muffin top too.

So glad I'm not the only one with the muffin top going on!! Just got the ok by the doc to work out... went for a 3 mile run today (that is a lot for me!)

Same here, though at 2w PP.  I had to wait for the swelling from the epidural to go down.  I deflated at about 1.5w PP and didn't get the courage to try on my pants until about 2w.

I had a vaginal delivery, so no c-section scar.  Odd thing about my jeans is that they fit better at 2w PP than now, even though I weigh even less now.  For some reason, the waistband is slightly tight when I sit now.  Go figure.

Me too.  I went from a 14 to an 8 also, but can't get into my 14's now, which totally shocked and saddened me.  I did hold on to all those size 14's thinking I'd just slip right into them after pregnancy.  Yikes.  Right now, I'm all about easy breezy jersey dresses.  I hate pants. =/

I'm in a similar situation - went from a tight 16 to a comfy 12 in the year before my BFP.  I kept all of the old clothes.  I thought I would be sliding right into the old 16 stuff.  Um, no.

  • I never wore pregnancy pants, all my normal ones fit me the whole pregnancy

I did stop wearing jeans though just because they got uncomfortable and Ive not put them on again yet because I want to be fully healed first since jeans can rub a bit sometimes. I know theyll fit though because all my other pants do
