Do you take off all your jewelry to shower?
I always shower with my wedding rings on. Every so often I scrub them with a little brush in the shower. And sometimes I shower with a necklace on - not if it's anything delicate (like right now I have a sturdy silver chain with a thick little engraved disc on it the size of a button) - but I'm always thinking I should take it off because I don't it to get ruined. However I have to shower with my DD locked in the bathroom with me so I tend to be in a big rush.
Re: Showering & jewelry
I dont wear much jewelry other than my wedding rings- so I keep them on while I shower...
I dont think the 30-45 sec to remove your necklace would be too hard to handle with your DD in the bathroom with you- if you wanted to take it off.
Not sure when you shower in the course of your day but you could remove your jewelry at night and shower when you wake up or shower at night after the girl go to bed so you get extra time to take off your jewelry.
I don't wear much besides my rings, and I do take them off to shower. I have a marquee cut and have scratched myself with it!
I don't remove them to wash dishes though.
I wear rings, earrings, a necklace and a watch. I currently leave them all on for showers. My last watch wasn't waterproof, so I took the watch off before showering but left everything else on.
The earrings and necklace never come off. The rings come off when I'm making hamburgers or doing something that will get them grody.
^This pretty much. I have a cute dish on my nightstand that I put my rings and necklace in before I got to bed. Sometimes my fingers swell at night and it makes the rings really tight/uncomfortable... and my necklace always gets tangled in my hair. I also don't like water under my rings either, so I just put them back on after my shower.

I only wear my rings and diamond studs in my ears every day. I take off the rings to shower or do dishes or anything else that may get them gross. I have pretty sensitive skin, so when my finger gets wet under my rings I tend to get a rash. I learned that the hard way when I was bartending after I first got engaged.
Like pp said, it really only takes a second or two to take them off, so maybe take them off right as you are walking to the bathroom.
