I want to get another wrap that is a little easier to get on than the Moby. What can you tell me about the Maya and the Baby K'Tan? Which do you prefer if you've tried both?

I have both. I like the maya wrap better. I think it is easier to use. Blaine doesnt seem to like any of my carriers. I have a bjorn, ergo, maya, moby and ktan. AHHHHH.
We have a Bjorn, a K'Tan and an Ergo. I honestly really really wanted the K"Tan and Hudson doesn't seem to like it that much. He likes the Bjorn and I can't wait for him to be big enough to use the Ergo, I loved that thing.
Are you talking about a Maya wrap or a Maya ring sling? IIRC, there are both? Anyway, I have a ring sling and a K'tan and I *love* the K'tan. I use it everyday. It's perfect for around the house or errands.
I should add- I was highly influenced by the fact that LO loves facing out and hates cradle carry. So, the K'tan is perfect for us.

I'm looking at the ring sling. So the K'tan gives outward facing an option? I am definitely interested in that. Is it as complicated to get the baby into as the Moby is? I think that's why I'm leaning towards the Maya - it seems so easy to get them in and out of.

I have a K'Tan and was having a really hard time feeling comfortable in it. And then I realized I was given a size small. I need a medium or large...but yea, you can do FFO carry w/ it. I think I'm realizing I'm not a fan of wraps in general. My ring sling is just too quick and easy!
I love our Ktan. I reviewed it here if you want to check it out. I've worn it a lot of different ways with her. Basically if she feels secure and I'm comfortable, then I wear it like that and don't stress about the way I'm supposed to wear it. It's pretty easy to change positions, like flip her from forward to facing me when she gets sleepy. It's not too hot, which was important to me since I have MS and overheating is bad.

Woops, that link talks about it a little. This one talks about it more.
LOVE our K'tan. don't have a maya, but we had a different one shoulder sling and it was very painful. put all of the weight one side and really hurt my neck. the k'tan is much easier to use than a wrap, but you can wear it all the same ways a wrap. it is our go to carrier.
I can only speak for my maya ring sling....LOVE IT!! I was nervous about the moby and k'tan stretching too much to be comfy. With DD, I had a bjorn (hated) and an ergo (loved), and I am so, so glad that I bought a sling this time around.
It is incredibly easy to use once you get it threaded the first time. I can pop DS in and out pretty quickly, and I have even used it to nurse a couple of times, but it isn't easy for me (I'm pretty large chested). I also like that it has a padded back and plenty of material. I have often used it as a place to put DS down to play while at friends' houses, at my office, etc. It was well worth the price, IMO.

I find it easier to get her into than the Moby, but I think that's just me- the idea is exactly the same. I have problems getting the RS adjusted right but, again, I think that has more to do with me than the carriers themselves.

I have this, which is similar to the K'Tan, and the same idea as the My Baby Nest carrier, and OMG, I love it.

Yes, I have a blog and it's hilarious (except when it's not)
