anyone catch Dr. OZ yesterday?

It was about apple juice and arsenic...its scary this study he did (you can find the results at doctoroz.com)...

anyone watch it?

    Small traces of arsenic is in a fresh apple as well.

    I didn't watch it though, off to look at his site. 

    ETA Oops... cyanide is in apple seeds, that is what I was thinking about.

    I  just looked over the site, and eh....we would never drink enough to kill us. I think pesticides on the "dirty dozen" list is more daunting than a study with mixed results on apple juice. Gerbers high of 36 ppb is pretty high, but their low along with everyone else is below FDA maximum.

    yes I know but they are talking about strictly the juice- and comparing it to the parts per billion vs. water and what the FDA  allows and doesnt...

    I like watching these shows but they also just cause me anxiety as well...LOL

    No...but I had someone call me at the pharmacy last night about it...

    Dr. Oz is a quack.  He looks for shock and aw stories then tells them just enough of the "facts" to scare them into thinking they NEED to watch his show or they will die from apple juice poisoning or get cancer from tap water.

    i get that feel most of the time but this show was a little different...

    and thanks for the FDA thing...I just wish they had gone on the show like they were asked...

    Ahh I have never watched his show.  But did it come off all scary like kids are being poisoned from arsenic?  That's how my customer took it, calling in asking about how to reverse arsenic in her kid...took me a bit to find out she was just talking about apple juice.

    There have been lists out on this stuff for a while, like what juice boxes to avoid.. you could google it.

    I love Dr. Oz...LOVE HIM!  And although he terrifies me half the time with the stuff that he talks about I don't care.  He's the reason everytime I got into a hotel room I pull the bed away the walk and rip the covers back to look for spots.  haha!

    glad its not just me....I do this too...I also bring a flashlight to look behind the headboard..LOL

    I got the "I cant believe in some of the apple juice we tested the rate per billion is higher than our drinking water" vibe- he was more upset than alarmist- I thought (at least compared to some of his other shows I've seen...)
