NBR: Cute winter boots?

Anyone want to help me shop? I am looking for a cute flat-ish boot for winter. I never have weather appropriate shoes and I think it is about time to cave and get some boots. Generally tall boots don't fit around my (fat) calves, so I feel like that leaves me with booties, combined with something flat, makes my options kind of ugly?

    I feel like I'm always raving about my winter boots on here whenever anyone asks! But I love my North Face boots. I have a pair similar to these. I can not say enough good things about 'em! They are going on winter #5 and still look great (I throw them in the washer about 2x's a year and they wash up looking brand new), they are sooo comfortable and keep my feet really warm and dry. They were a bit more expensive, but they've been worth every penny!

    Wow-5 winters is awesome!  And I like those!  

    Irish-I'm not good at wearing the appropriate footwear either, mainly because I don't want to bring another pair of shoes somewhere to change into.

    yep. I take anywhere from an 7 1/2-8 1/2 and mine are an 8. I have plenty of room to wear them w/ thick socks too.
