Hi ladies, this is the Central Pa, moms-to-be check-in, which will be posted once a week. If you would like to be added to the list please respond below with your EDD, what # child this is for you, and if you know what you're having.
I'm sorry that I didn't copy the previous list from the old board so we are missing some moms-to-be on here.
Please respond with some QOTW ideas too if you have any. Thanks & have a great day!!

1) What, if any, pregnancy or baby related books are you reading? Any that you've found informative or helpful in preparing? Any that you plan to read?
2) Any news or updates? How are you feeling?
Re: *** Central Pa Moms-to-be Check-in ***
1) I have Girlfriends Guide to Pregnancy, which I read a lot in the beginning but haven't kept up with as much. I also check Your Pregnancy Week by Week. The weekly emails from Baby Center keep me updated too. I've been flipping through Baby Bargains for months, which has helped me narrow down choices in baby gear. I use the Happiest Baby on the Block DVD for work so I've reviewed that but DH and I will watch it again before the baby arrives. I also have Healthy Sleep Habits, Happy Child but may look into other baby/sleep books.
2) I have all of my OB appts scheduled until my due date so that makes me feel like it's SO soon. We have had 2 out of 4 nights of childbirth class, which is going really well. I'm glad that we're attending.
TTC since Jan 07. Dx with PCOS Jan 08
1. I read a lot in the beginning, but not so much now. I have What to Expect, and Your Pregnancy Week by Week. I read the weekly Baby Center updates and that's about it for now.
2. Feeling good! Nothing new to report other than my belly is finally getting bigger! I'm just now starting to look pregnant which is exciting!
1. I read the updates from Baby Center weekly online and I also read and really like Your Pregnancy Week by Week.
2. Last night we started our child birth class. I have an appt. on Monday (Im going every two weeks now). I think I am ordering my bedding tonight and am probably going to start to get the nursery together in the next few weeks.
1) I have "Your Pregnancy Week by Week" and I've kept up with that. I also have "Happiest Baby on the Block" but haven't read it yet. I'd like to find a good breastfeeding book too.
2) I have another u/s tomorrow. Baby was measuring exactly what I expected last week based on my ovulation date but I'm being sent for a 2nd u/s because I was 3 weeks off based on my LMP (no surprise there, my cycles are unusually long). So we get to see our little Pumpkin again!
1) What, if any, pregnancy or baby related books are you reading? Any that you've found informative or helpful in preparing? Any that you plan to read? I'm reading girlfriends guide to pregnancy and what to expect. I also get the weekly emails from baby center I think.
2) Any news or updates? How are you feeling Big u/s tomorrow!!! I am feeling good. I started feeling movement over the weekend which I am very excited about.
Can you add me please? My EDD is 7/14/08.
I read a bunch last spring when we were planning to start TTC before we moved to CA. I loved "From the Hips" It goes from ttc through like age 2 I think and is a really easy and informative read with some humor in there. I have also read "Pregnancy Sucks for Men" so I could try to be sympathetic towards DH a little better lol. DH ran out and boy "My Boys Can Swim" which I am now allowed to start reading now that he's done with it and he also bought another almost like Pregnancy for Father Dummies or something like that. I forget the title.
I am feeling fine so far. Just waiting for the first tinge of morning sickness to kick in to out me to all my co-workers. They all have kids and are former nurses so I know it won't last long.
1.) I have WTEWYE, Pregnancy Week by Week, and the Girlfriends Guide. What to Expect annoys me, so I haven't picked it up in about a month. So does the Week by Week book. I put the Girlfriend's Guide down when it got to L&D because I just wasn't ready to read it yet, but I should probably pick it back up now. The only book I have finished is Belly Laughs by Jenny McCarthy, because I got that out of the library and had to return it. I get weekly emails from Babycenter and Babyzone and find them helpful. The one from the bump is a waste.
2.) I have my 26 week appointment today. I'm insterested to see if I'm still measuring big and if they'll schedule me an ultrasound b/c of it. I'll also have my glucose test scheduled today. Oh, and I'll get my flu shot! I'm feeling pretty good these days. My energy is still up, and I've been sleeping well. The baby has been kicking like crazy, and I've even seen my belly move several times.
1. My sister got me Your Pregnancy: Week by Week and I love it. It's so cool to follow the baby's development every week, and it is very informative.
2. No news is good news! I went to the dr. yesterday and everything seems to be right on track.
1. I love to read on what is going on developmentally with the aby - usually online right now. Otherwise, I've been trying to read some childbirth books and I just got out some infant care and breastfeeding books as a refresher since it'll probably take me from now until this baby is born to actually get to reading them!
2. Not really "news," but I had my first appointment here in PA this week and I'm so so so happy. I was excited about the appointment and they were just so kind and on the same page as me with understanding everything that happened with Amelia and I feel like I can actually take a deep breath now that I know I have care here and that I like them:)
Christina, Can I be added to the list please? Me edd is May 21st, thanks!
I just had my appointment today and heard the heartbeat, it was so great to know that the baby is doing well.
