just found out we are having twins!! im sooo excited but can use all the info i can get.. does anyone have any helpful tips? how long did you carry yours if you have twins?

Congrats! I'm jealous- I was actually hoping for twins, lol. They run in my family and I'm of "advanced maternal age" (such a nice label;) ) I am still thrilled with one. And FOR you!! I would suggest the Multiples board also, and I think they have maternity mags that are just for Twins. Check it out and Good Luck!!

no advice here but one of my best friends had twins a little over a year ago. She had a c-section at 38 weeks (scheduled).

Congrats!!! The twins board is helpful, lots of experienced MoM's there. I have had two sets of twins myself (both sets ID). I carried my first set to 34 weeks, and I carried my second set to 38 weeks. Advice would be to enjoy running around and doing things before the third trimester because you may get put on bedrest and not be able to do those things later. I would suggest getting registries, nursury, trips, vacations, and anything else you would like to do before you get put on bedrest (if you do). I know that for me preterm labor was a big risk, but everyone's pregnancy is different. Just take it day by day! Congrats again! Its very exciting!

CONGRATS!!!! and yes twins are more common due to many fertility drugs, yes some are natural but thats why they seem to be "Going Around"

thanks everyone! we are def excited. my husband is a little nervous but thats natural i think. i am just over the moon because for about a week the dr thought it was a tubal preg so i had blood work done twice and 5 u/s so far. the first u/s he saw nothing which was really scary but he said it could just be too early. so i came back for another one and this time he saw a sac but nothing in it, again he said it could be too early. then i had the 3rd u/s bc of spotting and again just a sac. the 4th u/s is when he saw the twins. and then the 5th u/s he saw the twins and 2 little heartbeats =] i go again next week so that the dr can check and see if both babies are in their own sac or if they are in one. again thanks for the congrats and advice and i will def be on the multiples board all the time haha

Ridiculous. Again. It's such a slap in the face to those of us dealing with high risk pregnancies and all the other goodies that comes with twins/multiples (FYI it's not all fun and games, to those of you who were "so jealous" of her! Be careful what you wish for! Definitely a blessing but being a MoM comes with burdens you haven't even begun to ponder...)
