Endometriosis???

Hi, I am new here... I have a wonderful son who was two in May. Conceived him first try back in August, 2008. Conceived again in June, 2010, after first cycle trying. M/c at 6 weeks. Did not get periods again until October and was extremely irregular and not ovulating after that. In Jan. '11 I was diagnosed with infertility due to ovulatory dysfunction. All of my tests show good stuff: great FSH levels, normal hormonal ranges, etc. I was placed on clomid and responded, "beautifully," according to my doctor. So, after five cycles on clomid, five IUis all failed, I have been taking a break for a few cycles. Next will be injectibles, but I think I am going to have the lap. done first to rule out endometriosis.

 

Does anyone on here have it? If so, what were your symptoms? I have weird digestive stuff and annoying backaches...

    I have stage 3 endometriosis, and just discovered it recently when I was having lap to remove some cysts on my ovaries. My ob was shocked that I didn't have any symptoms except for the last couple of months. The only thing I noticed was random spotting (CD 10-11 and starting at 8dpo) and some cramping throughout my cycle at random times on the left side.

    I have major cramping in my lower back about 4 days prior and 2 days into it...with random minor cramping throughout.

    What is your doctor's recommendation now that you know about your stage three endometriosis?

    Unfortunately I lost my right tube.  She "cleaned out" the Endo as much as possible during my surgery.  And during my sono at my RE he said he still saw some endometreoma, but said that my ob probable left it there because if she had removed this part, I would have likely lost my ovary.  At this point he (RE) said that was the best for my fertility.  After we either have a baby or are done TTC we can treat the Endo more aggressively.  I'm hoping my remaining tube is clear, but we'll find that out when we do the HSG once my cycle starts.

    wow, you are going through a lot...

     

    I didn't know the RE could see endo. in there via ultrasound; it makes me more hopeful at this point... it's hard for me to understand what is wrong with me. I just want some answers :/

    I was diagnosed with stage 3 endo a few years ago- no symptoms at all!  I am having another lap tomorrow.  I was so surprised after my first dx.  Good luck, I hope you get some answers.  It is frustrating!
