So I'm thinking about switching to a better OB, and someone who is more "middle of the road" - ok with natural/alternative stuff a bit, and who delivers at Swedish in Everett. Any recommendations???
My current OB was kind of offensive and unprofessional the other day when I said no to a flu shot, I don't want to get any vaccinations while pregnant. This is a strong belief of mine and I just want to be respected, but she really was intrusive and rude about it. I understand she doesn't want anything to happen to me, I will willingly sign a waiver that I refused it, that's fine with me.
And the other thing is, when I asked her questions about some of my symptoms she just seemed annoyed and gave me a look and she wasn't truly listening or giving me helpful answers. I want an OB that cares and can be helpful, especially because this is all new to me, its our first baby.
Re: Looking for OB who delivers at Everett Swedish
Yes, Swedish Edmonds is the old Stevens. I had 2 friends have not so great birth experiences there, and I agree about the age. I had both my boys at Pavillion, as have a lot of other girls here with great experiences. Nice, clean, newer and I like all they do is women/children it is also a level 3 nicu, which is nice incase you need it.
I don't think there is a Swedish campus in Everett but I just delivered at Providence Medical Center in Everett three weeks ago and the maternity rooms were awesome as well as the nursing staff. I had my OB care at Millcreek Ob/Gyn and Dr. Welcome and Dr. Steinberg were great. They always answered my questions and I never felt rushed. Maybe you could check out there website.
Thank you all for the suggestions! I didn't know the Swedish we'd seen in Everett/Mill Creek was ER only, that's a bummer.
So I guess now I'm just trying to find an OB that people rave about & love, that is somewhere near our area, and is somewhat "middle of the road" and will be respectful when there's something I'm not comfortable with.
